Bella vacanza

A great week
Stayed in early March following a weeks cruise on the Marella Explorer 2. We had booked the preferred club and were taken straight to the preferred reception and introduced to Erick our “butler”. We didn’t need a lot from him during the week but everything we needed he sorted for us. His daily WhatsApp updates were really useful. Room was ok and the grounds really clean and well looked after. The beach and sea is absolutely stunning- much better than around Punta Cana and Bavaro. Food was better than average. Breakfast in the preferred club beach bar was great. Main buffet for lunch has something for everyone. A la carte restaurants were good - service a bit haphazard. Didn’t try the French as I’m not prepared to wear long trousers in the heat (crazy rule). Drinks were good but inconsistent selection between bars. We were introduced to Dominican rum and are hooked! Only improvement is to have a bar with outside seating which is the norm in Europe. The rock show was great and the entertainment team worked hard. Always amusing to see the aqua aerobics in the sea. Ventured across the road on the last day to the preferred section. Can see the benefit if you are not drawn to the sea. Conclusions- will go back again. Best hotel we have stayed at in Dominican. Jury out on preferred club. Apart from the beach area and restaurant at the beach side no other apparent benefits.

AMAZING family destination
Our stay at Dreams Dominicus La Romana was WONDERFUL!!! Top all-inclusive family trip to date. The beach is truly the star of the resort...it is so clean and clear and beautiful, but all the pools and facilities were wonderful. We ate frequently at the buffet restaurant (due to kids) but everyone had plenty of choices and all our meals were great. The staff was SO nice and professional. We felt welcomed and cared for the entire week. Thank you!
