Still good but a bit surprised
Overall ok. Surprised that they no longer provide show caps, bedroom slippers or bath robes even for Privileged Club members. I called the front desk and they said they will bring them over but they never did! It was later told to us that they no longer provide those standard stuff except for Ámbar and Esmerada.

Service is uneven across the resort.
The staff who is likely to receive tips is kind. People at the reception desk or controlling access to restaurants are generally super rude. Jennifer at the desk activated cell data on my wife’s phone to troubleshoot WiFi access. ($100 fee)

Stayed from Nov 12 through to Dec 3rd
It would take only minor changes to truly make this a 4 star resort. They need to clean up the poolside table and chairs. They are dirty, and often we found drink cups and spills from the day before. The chairs are in good shape for the most part, but dirt marks everywhere. They do have a great beach, and pool service staff. Juan Antonio from the pool crew is just fantastic. Luciana was also very good. Overall good service from all the staff. Food is good, our favourite a la carte was the limbo, we ate there 3 times. The buffet service was sometimes a little frustrating as the staff often overlooked people seated ahead of others for things like water, coffee, and wine.

Beautiful resort some areas of need for improvement
We loved Grand Aquamarine-the pictures don't do justice, it is gorgeous and being one of 7 resorts there are so many options of things/places to go and do. The beach is breathtaking. The opportunities for improvement are around food, service and updates in showers. Our shower pressure was dreadful, the food was average, if you are a foodie this may not work for you. The service at times was excellent at other times not great. At the end of the day we loved our trip, would recommend it as long as food is not a huge deal for you(it wasn't a priority for us) our goal was to relax, enjoy the facilities, the pools the beach the fun and that exceeded our expectations!

Holiday November 2024
Arrived by private transfer and were met by the baggage handler who took our bags. Check in time was about 20 minutes but there was a few couples in front of us. Had a good choice of rooms available (we did upgrade to a pool view at the booking stage) and managed to get a ground floor room in block 81. Rooms: The rooms were good and spacious, but the bed was rock hard so we asked for a mattress topper which was fitted straight away for us but didn’t make any difference. The room was cleaned to a good standard every day and the maid was nice. Restaurant Buffet: The food was ok but not a lot of choices even on themed nights. It got really crowded on a morning after 8am especially around the toaster which is stuck in a corner. The staff struggled a bit when it got busy and a couple of times we had eaten all our breakfast before getting any tea/coffee/water. A la Carte Restaurants: Because we didn’t check in online when we arrived we struggled to get in anywhere for the first week but did do 3 in the second week. The MEAT restaurant was ok but that was about it. The il Capriccio was good but the best one as the Portofino. Both of us loved it and wished we could have got in a few more times. We also went to the sports bar,so we didn’t have to have all our meals at the buffet, and that was great. Pool: The pool area was great and always some spare lounges around. The pool bar staff were great as well but the best part about the pool was the entertainment team. The pool party’s were brilliant and the entertainment team really made them. Didn’t really sit in the lounge as it felt too hot and no breeze going into it. The only negatives about the holiday was being bitten a lot, loads more than usual especially if going on the beach, the beach restaurant, and the wrist bands The beach restaurant looked amazing on the photos but in reality it was like a cattle market. No cutlery on the tables, unable to find any anywhere, way too crowded, people were grabbing pizza before the server had chance to even cut it up and people smoking. Only went once and that was too many times. The wrist bands are a good idea but it’s hard to open the door with them as the handle is too close to the door frame. Ours also stopped working a few times. Overall it was a good holiday with a few minor issues that could be easily fixed really.
