  Just got home.... and what an AMAZING trip!

  I HIGHLY recommend this all-inclusive resort. The staff are so warm and welcoming. Our entire stay (7 nights) was AMAZING. The food was incredible, the staff were great, the grounds were beautiful. We will be back and will try other Bahia Principe properties in other countries.

  Amazing!

  We’ve stayed at Bahía Príncipe Grand Aquamarine twice and have had great experiences both times. The staff are always super friendly and their entertainment does a great job. We love the resort and have had great meals at the a la carte restaurants (book in the app before you arrive!!). The rooms and resort are always clean. The gym is also super nice. Both times we stayed during spring break (March) but there’s not too many college students, pretty mixed group so it wasn’t crazy. There’s a night club and casino on the resort too.

  Needs updating

  This resort really needs updating. Everything is old. Food was good not great. The pergola in the pool was covered with mold on the inside. The rooms were okay beds were comfortable. We had trouble getting the room cleaned the first couple of days we had to go to the front desk. The fan in our room did not work, asked for it to be looked at and no-one came to look at it.

  Perfect place to chill and have fun!

  We loved our stay at Aquamarine. It has the feel of a smaller (adults only) resort with access to the restaurants and common areas of the adjacent larger property. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The poolside activities were fun and accessible for all ages. The staff are friendly and the service is excellent. We really enjoyed the a la carte restaurants and appreciated being able to make reservations in advance using the app. It's an easy walk to the beach and trolleys run frequently. We found the restaurants in the Beach House were the best. Tip - take bug spray for the evenings!

  10 days at Grand Aquamarine

  I was very impressed with this resort, which is really a group of six to seven hotels. Two of them , Ambar and Aquamarine, are Adults Only. I stayed at the Aquamarine for 10 nights and would definitely go back. The resort is clean and well run. I must give a shout out to Marco at Reception for his kindness and efforts to move me to a preferable room. It was refreshing, as a solo, older woman to be treated with dignity and respect ny Marco. I would also like to give kudos to “Rosie” of the Animation team. I am an RN and she aspires to a nursing career. We had some cool conversations about nursing and she was a delight as an Animation team member. I have travelled a lot and I want to give kudos to the entire Animation team who were friendly and professional and knew how to deal with older guests, I’ve worked with both Club Med and in the medical department of a major cruise line and I know how long and hard the hours can be. There are many specialty restaurants throughout the resort. My only criticism would be regarding the need to make a reservation way in advance for each of these. Its difficult enough to decide weeks in advance what kind of food and at what time of the eve you will want to eat. Many times I saw that a restaurant had many empty seats (presumably because people didn’t show up) but there was no way of being seated at a clearly empty table without a reservation. The system needs to be tweaked. Only other issue was being charged 10 X the amount when I checked out for a $55 pedicure bill. It showed up as $555.00 on my Amex! I’m sure this was a mistake and Amex is sorting it out with Bahia Principe as I speak. Ive signed up as a member of Bahia Principe and look forward to trying their other properties.
