Amazing and Beautiful Aquamarine!
Everything about our stay was amazing. Despite the rain, staff ensured we were taken care of especially the entertainment and bar staff. They provided so many activities, and their enthusiasm was never-ending! This was my 2nd time at the aquamarine but others were with have been back many times. Would definitely go back. The only recommendation i made in my review of the resort was to put handles on the outside of the patio door. Other than that, we had NO complaints. Everyone went out of their way to please. The beach is the most incredible, the guys were able to make the most of the wave action by borrowing boogie boards! For a small deposit you could use them and get your deposit back! So much fun! You could walk for miles on the incredibly perfect sand.

Aquamarine/Ambar
oct 24-nov4 travelled from Canada, Air Canada direct rained a lot 2/7 days, lots of sun the other 5 days arrived at aquamarine lobby after 930pm. check in took 15 mins. stayed in 83 block 3rd floor, across from outdoor hot tubs room was 4/5 typical bahia layout, more Caribbean vibe, not so contemporary room was clean, bathroom clean, has 1 person tub with window to rest of room balcony view was of pool walk to bigger lobby/buffet was ok (5mins), we walked pool side when it didn't rain and thru the corridor all the way when it did rain Buffet: mediocre at best, not great selection, Ambar/Punta Cana/Bavaro buffets are def better. décor and staff were great. coffee and drinks came promptly. outdoor covered sitting area perfect during rain, good place to watch the entertainment in evening So my GF decided she wanted to upgrade to Ambar because: aquamarine was far from beach (we are beach peeps + 2 bad knees) took 2 days due too full booking @ Ambar Miguelito @ the Aquamarine lobby helped make this happen. Huge shout out to him!! Ambar (69 block, 3rd floor, view facing sunset/path) My GF loved the upgrade, lot closer to the beach. the palymar was a huge upgrade in terms of buffet. some theme nights, good mix of meat/seafood/veggies (shrimp, calamari, fish, langoustines) we tried MEAT as well, great ribeye breakfast and lunch were repeats but we just ate different things loved the coffee shop, countless cappuccinos and ice frappes in afternoon our house keeper was the BEST!!. we did every 2nd day clean, tipped her appropriately. she went above and beyond. 2nd last day she knocked on our door and cried/thanked us for all the tips. shout out to Mercedes Richardson (5 Stars) from house keeping. loved the beach. seaweed was cleared every morning, minimal seaweed in water thru out day. water was clear and aqua colored just like the pictures. waves were rough a few days, but able to get in and float. walking the beach was amazing, either direction, able to check out other resorts. did not see any para sailers. lots of beach chairs, unfortunately you do play the reserve game here. oh well, we always found chairs, just not always with a view of the water. lots of little covered huts, good for those passing rain showers and shade. overall I rate this 7 day all inclusive 4 out of 5 stars for the price we paid, very reasonable, (paid to upgrade) it was well worth it. little things here and there could be fixed/better we didn't go to nit pick. nothings gonna be 100% the way you want it. we went for SUN, BEACH, OCEAN (I know Caribbean sea) will definitely return to either Ambar/Aquamarine/Esmeralda home away from home!! ignore this review and just book it!!!!!!!!

Memorable getaway with friends!
I had an amazing stay at this resort! The vibrant, spotless facilities were impressive. The food was delicious, with plenty of variety. Great pools, hot tubs, and a beautiful beach made for perfect relaxation. Drinks were excellent (thank you DERLYN). Huge thanks to Isaac, Walter, Richard, Ledy, and the entertainment team for their fantastic energy. Highlights included the white party, foam party, and pottery classes. Highly recommend for a fun and memorable getaway!

Not a good experience al all. Not 5 Star --lets see what they do for us.
1--We started out fro two days with no AC in our room. The technicians checked it and couldn't fix it. The last one told us it was low on COLD water. Thats a joke. They gave us a fan that wasn't cleaned for 20yrs to use in our room, it was horrible. Finally got moved on the third day. The rooms need an update. I had to keep asking for face clothes and towels. Floors really slippery in bathroom. 2--The pool deck tiles are really slippery, they need to do something I slipped twice and it hurt. 3--Shows were ok but should not be on pool deck should be in a designated area. 4--The buffet service was terrible. 10 of us lined up waiting in the morning waiting because they had to wait for eggs.Trying to gat a tea or coffee was bad. I asked three different waiters for a coke and it took over 20mins to finally get a drink. At the breakfast buffet I pick up a piece of ham and it had a Long black hair hanging of it. I showed the cook behind the counter, he picked the hair of the ham threw it on the floor and said it was ok now. Disgusting to say the least. 4--We paid a lot of money to come to your resort and its not 5 Star we left disappointed. I know all of this will fall on deaf hears but it sure would be nice to actually hear from you. At this time we won't be coming back to your resort or recommending it to anyone. We had our family and friends , 9 of us they're together. Not a good time but we deserved better for what we all paid. Rick P. irnewf2001@yahoo.com

Bad experience
If you are vegetarian and clean loving person don’t go to this place. Not much vegetarian options for dinner and cleaning of the room and bathroom is terrible. No vents in bathrooms and room always smells like gutter. Hidden charges like no shuttle provided, when we called 4 days in advance we were told shuttle will pick us up from the airport and the day of landing we called the hotel, we were told that they did not book it for us, we had to pay $80US and when we were leaving back to the airport, again no free shuttle available and we had to enroll for excursions to get the free shuttle. Don’t go there on the basis of Hindu Thali Indian vegetarian food basis, because their chefs don’t know how to cook Indian food.
