    The best honeymoon at Dreams

    We went to Dreams Las Mareas for our honeymoon in March 2025. We had the best time - all the staff were incredibly helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. There is a good selection of restaurants and the food was really good! We visited the spa while at the hotel which was wonderful!! We had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend to others!

    Lovely hotel

    Lovely hotel, food was good and staff friendly. Rome service was a bit disappointing as they were late delivering in a morning that we were going out on an excursion- we placed the order the evening before, they also missed items on a couple of occasions. The rooms are lovely, but the location of our first one was terrible - ground floor and literally looked out straight into bushes, so no view at all. Took two days to get moved, but second rooms location was much better.

    Not very family friendly

    I expected a bit more for the price I paid, and in hindsight, I believe I made the wrong choice. Costa Rica is definitely more suited for adventure and outdoor activities. As a family traveling with a 2 & 5 year-old and planning to relax at the resort, we found it wasn’t very family-friendly. The layout of the hotel didn’t seem to consider families with strollers or wagons — there were many steps and uneven paths, making it difficult to get around. There also weren’t many activities for young kids or even for parents during downtime, which made the stay feel a bit limiting.

    Not our best experience

    The service was not what I would expect for a resort at this price point. Specifically the service at the restaurants and preferred amenities. The food was okay nothing spectacular. The entertainment was lacking. Overall we were very disappointed with this property.

    Dreams resort is no dream vacation

    Dirty pool decks and too slippery for senior citizens, fan not working properly in the room, dead bugs in balcony hot tub, Italian restaurant would not allow children under 12 inside (must sit outside), liquor either watered down or poor quality, staff is not friendly, buffet closed one evening missing dinner. We are going back to RIU.
