  Fun at Sunan

  Oh my goodness! Wonderful food at Sunan tonight. The tempura shrimp & the short rib <3 the rice felt like it was cooked and stewed in fresh vegetable stock! We sent compliments to the chef and he came out to greet us! How fun. The staff was so friendly

  Not what we had hoped for

  I don’t usually write reviews but do depend on them a lot when looking at options for our vacations. We were a little disappointed in our experience here. We came as a family and wanted to celebrate our year. I am a diamond member of Hilton and have stayed at many resorts through the years. Unfortunately, this experience just fell short for us. First, our flight was cancelled and it meant that we had to delay our trip by a day. I tried to extend our trip by a day and I could not get anyone at the resort to help me with this. We ended up moving to a different resort for our last day, as no one at Hilton seemed to want to help. Second, we came at a very busy time but the nightly rate reflected that and we definitely paid more per night than the average price during other times in the year. Unfortunately, we could not get restaurant reservations by speaking to the concierge. The only way to get a reservation was unless you stood in line for a long time two days in advance. On a short trip, this meant we were offered buffet if we wanted to eat together. On the morning we were leaving and sitting in the lobby, I saw the restaurant reservations line extend to over 30 people waiting. Some close to an hour. This is not how people want to spend their vacation. Third, the rooms are in need of repair. The view is incredible but unfortunately, the room was lacking in a typical Hilton feel. The mini fridge allowed for just a few beers but in all resorts we have stayed in everywhere else has a larger fridge with snack options as well. You can’t get a bottled water anywhere until 10 when the bars opened so they should provide more water in the room. Fourth, we were there over New Years. It was fun to see the fireworks. We did not partake in their New Year’s party because they were extra cost. We had already spent a lot and to pay another $1500 for my family felt like a lot for a few hours. One morning we were trying to get coffee in the lobby. It is said to be included and in front of the coffee shop. It was empty. We had to ask for them to refill it. I felt like the waitress made me feel like I was bothering her. After about 20 minutes, they brought more coffee out however there were no coffee cups. We had to go back up and ask for cups where again the waitress seemed displeased to help us. We had a few great servers at restaurants and bars but the food was just okay. The drinks were just okay. We did enjoy the fish tacos for lunch at one of the restaurants. The room service breakfast was good. I know that we came during a busy time but again, the nightly rate reflected this. This was our third time in PV and our first time at this resort. Unfortunately, it just quite meet our expectations.

  Great resort! Lots of activities and great food and service!

  We had one of the best stays ever at this resort! The food was exceptional for an all-inclusive—our steak was cooked perfectly to medium rare! The staff were wonderful, friendly, and accommodating throughout our trip. We stayed in the Enclave rooms, which was a highlight of our experience. The balcony bathtub was such a luxurious touch, and the exclusive access to the Enclave Lounge was well worth it. A special shoutout to JORGE at the Enclave Lounge—his service was outstanding! He was so attentive, friendly, and made the best drinks. The resort itself offers a fantastic mix of events and entertainment, ensuring there’s always something to do if you’re looking for activities. Or, if you prefer to relax, the poolside ambiance and cocktails are perfect. Critique: While the events and activities are plentiful, it would be helpful to have a physical reminder or schedule posted somewhere visible, like by the pool or during breakfast/dinner. Although the information is accessible via QR code, we missed a few activities because we didn’t always check our phones. A weekly events board or reminders at mealtimes would make the experience even better! Overall, this resort is amazing, and we can’t wait to return!

  Wonderful long weekend!

  Fabulous long weekend getaway!! Food was great, service was excellent and so many things to do! Israel was great getting me set up for kayaking at the beach! Also yoga on raft at pool was a new experience. We tried all restaurants and all were really good!

  Wonder staff experience

  I had a wonderful and welcoming time with the staff. From the Seasalt Restaurant with Fidel, Ana, and Daniel thank you for how welcome you made us feel. Fidel remided me how Mexico is about familia. Thank you all for welcoming us and I look forward to my next trip. Around the pools and on the beach Jose and Mel did a fantastic job of ensuring our needs were met. The attendants with luggage and taxis were always available and were generous with their assitance in getting a ride in a timely manner. There were so many more people who did a great job and I sincerely thank everone. Until next time my friends, Jack
