  Great vacation!!

  We had a wonderful stay at the Hilton Vallarta Riviera. So many tasty food options - buffet, restaurants and food trucks. We traveled there for my daughter’s winter break and appreciated how family friendly it was. Especially loved the family lounge, nightly shows and daytime pool activities. A special shout out to Gabriel in the Vela buffet restaurant who always offered great service with a smile, Marcos who always had a big smile at breakfast making the best eggs/omelettes and Juan for poolside service who kept the drinks and food coming all day. Thank you Hilton Vallarta for such a fun stay!!

  Great winter break!!

  Service team was outstanding from the desk to housekeeping and all team members in between we felt valued and appreciated for our business. Shoutout to our pool side drink server Alfredo who was friendly and great at his job! Food service was for the most part excellent, breakfast and lunch buffets along with the steak house and Italian restaurant were very good. Area for improvement would be dinner buffet and ironically the Mexican restaurant. Pool side burger and veggie trucks were also great. Plenty of activities to participate in, both poolside and during the evenings. Entertained daily by whales and dolphins, listen for poolside bell. We stayed in the South Tower, while room was good, the hallways could use a little TLC (paint and repair baggage dents). Also it would be great if screens were added to sliding patio doors so we could sleep with door open to hear the waves. Both resort and town felt very safe.

  Hilton rivera

  It has kids club so they take care our three kids and we could have free time without kids. First two day was cloudy and humid,b but last two day was sunny and nice. I did not expect high quality food since it is all inclusive, vut food was better than what I expected. Room itself is not new and might need maintenance.

  Phenomenal stay, with a slight catch

  Overall, a fantastic stay for our Puerto Vallarta vacation! We were traveling with our best friends, and doing this all-inclusive made it much easier. The staff here is very friendly and attentive. Aside from the included meals and drinks, they have local pastries in the lobby you can snag on your way to grab a taxi or Uber into town. A ride to Zona Romantica takes about 15-20 minutes and is $5-10 USD before tip (Uber XL). We went to Cocomar several times and really enjoyed it. The breakfast buffet at Seasalt was also delicious: chilaquiles and eggs available every day! The adults only area was appreciated and stayed quiet. Great for reading and sunbathing to the sounds of the Pacific Ocean. Beverage service was frequent and prompt. The only notable drawback was the sushi restaurant. From being seated to getting food, it took 90 minutes. And this was happening to every table. The menu didn’t have appetizers and we were not offered sake or Japanese beer (we spotted both across the room after we had already ordered drinks). Then when we did receive our food, several of our rolls ended up on each other’s plates. (Fortunately, we’re close enough friends that that didn’t matter to us.) The waitstaff then hurried us out by picking up our dishes a few bites before we were done. The sushi itself was fine, but not exceptional. Management needs to either fix the sushi restaurant workflow so they can deliver in a reasonable timeframe, or scrap it and replace it with something else. Despite the sushi debacle, everything else was great. We would definitely stay at this property again.

  Great time, would go again

  My friends and I had a great vacation at the Hilton, with a few minor setbacks. Details below. Short version – would I go again – Yes! I think you get great value for money spent. Pros: -The staff were all wonderful. They were very friendly, professional, and earnestly tried to ensure we were having a good time. I want to especially thank Blanca, Yareli, Saol, and Hugo! They were all so fun to talk to and greatly added to our experience with their positive energy. Blanca is the hardest working woman I’ve ever met – you rock, Blanca!! Yareli made casino night so much fun, and Hugo and Saol were cracking us up during water aerobics. You all deserve a raise!! 😊 Additionally, I don’t remember all the names of the wait staff, but every meal had excellent service, thank you so much. 🙇‍♀️ -Location was perfect, right on the beach, rooms overlooking the ocean, and a short/cheap Uber ride to the Malecon. The property was very clean and well kept. -We did not have kids with us, so we were worried about being overrun by them, but it wasn’t bad. Some kids around, but not crazy. Might be worse during school breaks. -We were there for the Super Bowl, and the hotel went all out to make it fun. They had a nice outdoor area with several big-screen TVs, decorations, lots of food/drinks, and cheerleaders roaming around. -Shows and performers – Great shows in the evening and talented performers throughout. Various acrobats/bands/singers/pianists/dancers, etc. and all we saw were very good. We really enjoyed having a band performing during the day while we were relaxing in the pool, it was very nice. -Food was good and had many vegan and gluten-free options! I really appreciated that. Cons: -In the evening, there were not enough dancing options!!! They had silent disco twice, which was nice, but the other nights there was no music. I was very disappointed that the website advertises a DJ, but there was no DJ to be found. ☹ -Hot tubs – We checked the two hot tubs every day and they were barely lukewarm, not hot at all. We asked to make them hotter, but were told no. -Drinks were pretty weak, so we just constantly asked to make them double. -Food-related: Gluten-free bread in the little packages were terrible. Like eating sawdust. The wait for our food in the sushi restaurant was very long, over an hour (only time we had to wait long for food) and the chairs in that restaurant were very hard and uncomfortable.
