Hospitality at its finest
From the moment I made it Javier Reyes greeted me and gave me directions. I got settled in a very nice room i might add. Surprised with a birthday message and cake. Clean room and Javier will direct you if you need assistance or have questions. Most definitely would recommend.

Platinum Experience & Platinum Staff
We just returned home from our third visit to PYP. Each time we have stayed in the Platinum rooms (building five). We chose this location because it is very quiet and everything (restaurants, lobby and beach) are VERY close. The rooms are large, very clean and comfortable. The food is delicious and there is always an abundance of options. The beach is a bit rocky but bring some water shoes and enjoy it. There are not dozens of boats or jet skis, so it is very relaxing. The resort is getting a bit dated, but it is not uncomfortable. I noticed they started renovations at the sister property. At this price point, I will likely try a newer/renovated resort next trip. It's a tough decision because we are so comfortable at this property. The staff make it extra special! Kristin checked us in, and she was so sweet. Even though we had been there previously, she made sure we remembered where everything is and had us out the door to our room quickly. At the buffet - Brian and Arman are our 'go-to' servers when they are working. Some of the newer staff are fantastic too. They are always attentive and on top of clearing tables. I missed his name but the regular guy who makes the steaks (grill station) ...THAT guy is superb. At the pool, our server Jovita was funny, attentive and very kind. The bellmen...Israel and Javier Reyes - those guys will make sure you are taken care of. If you need ANYTHING...they are on top of it. And they remember your name. Even when they see us walking by, they check-in on us. I joined my friend and her daughters to go see Joya (Cirque du Soleil) and was a bit nervous about the taxi. Javier set us up with a taxi and when we got back, he made sure we hadn't been taken advantage with the return cost. They are fantastic. Thanks for amazing memories again PYP!

Fabulous trip
Great resort. Great employees especially Umberto, Malu and Martine the pool bartender. Great food. All around 5 star experience. Shows and music every night. Plenty of activities if you want them. Clean clean clean. Great room service. A beautiful week vacation!!!

Beautiful and Accommodating Adults-Only All Inclusive Getaway
As a single woman with celiac disease travelling solo for the first time, I was a bit nervous going into this. I can say with absolute confidence that that trepidation went away in absolutely no time! Special thanks goes out to Jorge at reception and the concierge desk for setting me up with a letter to present at all restaurants about my dietary restriction, Abi the manager at Yucatan Buffet, Lizeth (my guardian angel, to be honest!) the hostess at Yucatan buffet, and some of the wait staff who served me: Bryan, Gerameel, Rosenberg and Abelino. All the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful (I wish I got all their names to thank everyone, but I did get a few key players!) , highly knowledgeable and accommodating of my dietary restrictions, and overall just delightful! The premises are beautiful and well-maintained. I never went hungry or thirsty or bored. Plenty of entertainment, and opportunities for relaxation. The beach has a lovely breeze, only downside is the seaweed which they keep up with very well. The pools are all gorgeous and the perfect temperature (for me). Swim up bar is fun! The signature drinks are great and all menus are well marked for allergens. I cannot wait to return!

Good for price point
I spent a week here in April. I had the swim out platinum honeymoon suite. The best perk of that was being attached to the swim out bar. Like others have stated the rooms are needing a touch up but for the price no complaints. Some tips I wish I would have known. Platinum swim outs just get you closer to the beach and buffet area. I went to my friends room and she had a deluxe. It was equally nice so for the “platinum” perks I would pass. I am considering going back in May for another week. Pros: no reservations needed for dinners besides habachi Food at a la Carts and buffet is overall solid Swimouts/pools clean and inviting Can be as calm or as exciting as you make it. Very diverse crowd and options at night after shows and being able to access the sisters resorts really nice. Staff is generally very warm and welcoming special shout out to CATALINA in the 24 bar who never left me without champagne!!! Love her bellmen super kind and attentive. Overall for what you pay you get pretty stellar service. Cons : the beach. Sad but true no bueno people say just walk down to the sister resorts which I get but I paid to stay at AO. It is what you make of it Gift shop extremely pricey like more than normal resorts overcharge for example 2 mini redbulls 18.00 US or 10 for 1 The alcohol to me tasted a bit off and I had a hard time finding something I liked. When you end up drinking resort champagne to get a buzz you know you’re in a world of hurt. Overall this was a good time and I might try it again but stay in a deluxe and save some pesos
