Meh
The good: Beautiful property pools were humongous food was good drinks were plentiful The ugly: At check in they gave us a room with two twins. May not sound like much but when traveling all day it sucks having to switch rooms (when one became available). A/C does not work great in the rooms and at one of the buffets. Made it hard to sleep. Although there is a fan in the room, it is not above the bed. Getting the fridge restocked with water was a chore. We would leave the room on "do not disturb" until we were ready to hit the pools, about 11:30. Room would get cleaned but the department that handles refills didn't adjust. Front desk absolutely no help. When addressed with concierge the first question was, did I leave "do not disturb" on. I responded that the room was cleaned and his remark was that maybe a racoon had taken them. This was after day 5 of asking for refill, it's like their communication loop is broken. Tattoos on face and ears of some staff was off putting.

The best experience at Grand Sirenis
This was our first all-inclusive in Mexico and we were just wow-ed! Check-in was seamless. We arrived late into the evening (~11pm), yet we able to have a meal at the Black Sheep. The buffets were amazing and so we were the al-carte experiences. We were able to get reservations for Butchers, the Peruvian restaurant and Hibachi. I wish we were able to try all of them. The coffee shop and Scoops were the best too!! We found the lagoon - well worth walk (~30 mins at a slow, exploratory pace). The rooms were clean and we were well-looked after. A big shout-out to our amazing concierges - Maria, Alfred, Diego and Dario. This team went all out to make our stay even better. I cannot say enough about the exceptional service - the staff are so friendly and want to ensure you have a great time.

Saxton first Mexican trip
We had a beautiful evening meal served by our waiter Jorge Alistair. Lovely seafood and excellent service. One of the best evenings of the holiday! We would recommend booking with your conseierge when you arrive at grand sirenis! We would also recommend a night at Carnal showbar!

Unfortunately very negative, dilapidated, unclean, and unhelpful.
I am on my third staying here in March, 2025. This has been a largely negative experience in comparison to when we came here in March/April 2023. The bathtub in our room did not work, the balcony door repeatedly got stuck, and the shower was very rusted so we requested a room where the bathtub and balcony door did work. I asked when we were moved to have an “updated room” however this request was met with incredulity by the staff who said no rooms are different even if we paid an extra $200 per night the room would be the same. Any updated rooms, they claimed, only had new floors and possibly shower fixtures - it was unclear and no one was willing to be helpful. In any event we were moved to a room where the bathtub did work however when I turned it on - massive quantities of orange liquid poured out and hair! The area around the drain hole is also very rusty. The new room reeks of men’s cologne and has a view of the place where all the cars go in and out. Okay, I could live with some of this and I’m not usually negative but I also then was told they only moved our suitcases. Not the two pairs of shoes, jacket, and two inflatables that did not fit in the suitcases. Later, someone told my husband they DID move all of that. But alas actually they did not and at that point my husband had returned the key to the prior room. I returned to the front desk to talk to the manager who was terribly rude and she gave me a new key after starting to protest that we had it. I get to our old room - on the completely other side of the resort, sweating, and our belongings are on the floor! Mixed in with garbage from the maid sweeping. I picked it up and carried it all the way back after tying the shoes and such inside my husbands coat. Only thing I like at the moment is the kids club as my kids are there having a nice time. However, after this experience, I really feel I wasted my money and time coming here. I will update if some remedial steps are taken by the hotel. I did report to them how terrible this was.
