We really enjoyed our vacation. Friendly staff. Rooms are amazing. The pools and swim up are was really cool. A lot of nice restaurants. We bought the membership so we can keep going back. Everything was well kept. They had many excursions but I was not able to do any. The have shows with dinner. All inclusive with everything.

Secrets Akumal: best all inclusive resort
One of the best all inclusive resorts I’ve ever stayed at. Went snorkeling one day and saw about 8 turtles and a stingray, the rest of the days we spent by the pool. We did not do any excursions or shows only because we were more intrigued by hanging out by the pool. Our favorite pool attendant, Luis, remembered our drink orders, cleaned our sunglasses, and went above and beyond to make our pool experience as relaxing and enjoyable as possible. The wait staff was also incredible, most notably Jaime at the Market Cafe, who was always right there to assist me with my dining experience, and Erbert at Portofino who remembered our drink orders every night and ensured our meals were perfect. The only minor complaints are that the layout of the resort is kind of confusing with little help of maps, and our concierge did not help us much, but that was made up for by the incredible staff elsewhere within the resort. Would definitely recommend the experience.

Perfect wedding!!
Our stay at Secrets Akumal was fantastic - 10 days! On arrival, it is gorgeous, with a sophisticated jungle vibe and the warmest and most hospitable staff. We were in the preferred club, as we were getting married (Elope in Luxury package). The buildings are not too busy as there were 3 floors and maybe 10-12 rooms on each floor? Our concierge Aracelli was great, super kind and able to help us with everything we needed. The rooms were spacious, and all staff are very attentive and friendly. The restaurants are pretty good too, especially with the options you have (I think 11 restaurants in total), and they all have a different theme. Super shout out to Jose and Saul who made our breakfasts great and Santiago who we felt really did go the extra mile for our wedding meal and just in general a wonderful man. The beach is amazing, the waters are so clear and saw a fair bit of wildlife (raccoons, iguanas, stingrays, turtles), the beach staff are great too. Preferred members get a specific section of the beach with loungers but these are all gone by 9am. The spa facilities are exceptional, would definitely recommend a treatment, the hydrotherapy circuit is the best one I’ve experienced! Our wedding day was picture perfect, the ladies in the spa did a great job with my hair and make up, I have curly hair so wasn’t sure if they would be confident styling my hair, but they did! The ceremony was lovely, it was on the beach, but not private, next to other guests, but in the moment you don’t really notice at the time (just in the background of some hoots afterwards). Thank you to Jazmin, Karen and the photographer, Daniela for a splendid day. Would definitely recommend for a holiday, to get married, a holiday, just so worth it. Only heads up, is that you’re not supposed to flush toilet paper, but it was fine for us until the penultimate night, where it did get a little blocked, but they resolved it within an hour. 100% would recommend for everything - thanks everyone who made our trip so special ❤️❤️

What 5 star should be, clean, amazing staff and very comfortable.
Absolutely amazing, such a friendly team, great restaurants and service. shame it was for a work/conference and not with my wife, my only criticism of the whole resort is that it’s so easy to get lost at night and especially after a few drinks but would still highly recommend, will be back very soon.

Unusually good service for a very unusual reason.
The service was excellent, and so much better than anticipated. The difference seems to be that Secrets allows all employees autonomy. No matter who we asked or what the question was, the employee was able to give a satisfactory answer, improve the service, think out of the box, make recommendations - all without stopping for management approval or needing to toe a company line. This meant that every dissatisfaction, and they were few, was alleviated.
