    Amazing Location, Beautiful Resort, Fantastic Service

    Secrets Akumal lived up to the hype. Items to highlight: - The evening entertainment was incredible - a mix of creativity, acrobatics, music, and more provided for next level entertainment compared to standard all-inclusive evening shows. - The grounds are beautiful, but can be a bit confusing due to the dense jungle. Not a complaint, just an observation. - The ability to snorkel right on the resort grounds is incredible. - The variety of food options and the presentation of the plates at the sit down restaurants feel high end. - The resort was full, but we never felt like it was crowded or too busy - Like other Secrets, the resort is catered to couples. Not to say non-couples can't or won't enjoy, just a heads up - The staff were incredible especially Catalina from custodial, Carlos from Room Service, Araceli, William and Mauricio from Concierge Services, Oliver, Octavio, Max, and Javi from the Entertainment team, and Josue from Bordeaux.

    Octavio is the BEST!!

    AMAZING TRIP!! My husband and I needed a relaxing getaway and Secrets was just that! Octavio went above and beyond and it would’ve have been the same without him. He made everything 10x more special for us. Him (& Gina) really take care of their guests. We will definitely be back because of how they treated us.

    Some of the best people I've met in years

    My wife and I got to enjoy a trip here in February 2025 and had a fantastic time. All of the staff were incredibly helpful and made us feel welcome. The standouts among the staff were Francisco, who was serving us food and drinks on the beach, Fernando the tequila sommelier, and Ricardo, our concierge. First, Francisco was a really great conversationalist. We got to learn about his home and life and he was overall a really great guy. His attention to detail was excellent. I told him in the morning that I would not be having alcohol until later in the day, so he brought me a variety of fruity, non-alcoholic drinks to enjoy in the morning with my book and made great lunch recommendations. Second, Fernando the tequila sommelier was extremely friendly and we had a lot in common. I was able to purchase a few different tequila samples from him after hearing his descriptions and recommendation. He was spot on every time and I enjoyed the company he provided in addition to the service. I'm hoping to see him again next time we visit Akumal. Lastly, Ricardo went above and beyond to personalize our stay. After discussing photography and some of the nicer photos we took on the trip, he invited us to email him some of the photos to prepare a collage for us to take home. He delivered it to our room shortly afterwards and gave us a personalized memorable photo collection from our trip. Overall, the resort is worth staying at if you have the opportunity.

    Amazing Mexican Resort - Highly Recommended

    This was a return trip to Secrets Akumal for us. This is an amazing place to spend a relaxing holiday. Fantastic location, great facilities and a very clever layout meaning you never feel that their are lots of other people around. Lots of walk ways winding through the complex covered by tropical trees and plants give a feeling of calm and seclusion. The variation and quality of food is exemplary. 9 different restaurants ranging from local food, seafood grills as well as country specific restaurants like Greek, Italian and Japanese. Rooms are generous and tranquil. All amenities you could wish for and spotless. Extremely comfortable for a good nights sleep. But the main thing - the staff. They are all absolutely delightful. Friendly, attentive and do seem to genuinely enjoy working at Secrets and ensuring guests have the most fabulous holiday. This we most certainly did. No doubt our second trip here will not be our last here.

    Great food/drinks with excellent service

    Best all-inclusive we have been to. The food and drinks are great and the service is even better. The entertainment staff are amazing and made us feel like a giant family. This is an amazing resort! The pool and beach area was perfect and the upgrades in preferred club were great. We will be back!
