Apr 15, 2025Wedding/Resort Review - Livier Cortes Coordinator
We got Married in March 2025 at Secrets Vallarta Bay and had an amazing time! Our coordinator was Livier Cortes and she truly brought my vision to life!! She was so nice to work with and she was always dependable and never left us on our wedding night. She brought out some fun surprises and helped us during our hot cocktail hour with some cooling towels and its the little things that really go a long way. I highly recommend requesting her as your wedding coordinator if you can! We got married at the Terra La Vista and it was beautiful! Also I recommend getting your dress and suite cleaned before leaving Mexico after the wedding if you are there a couple days after. That was a huge help for us. If you stay in the preferred club on the Secrets side, ask for Carlos as your butler! He was outstanding and always got us what we needed! The food and drinks were great at the resort! The pool grill food was one of my favorites with the pool side tacos.

Wedding of my Dreams ( literally)
We had our wedding here in March of 2025 and it was truly magical. LIVIER CORTES was our wedding planner and she and her staff made our vision truly come to life. We had a two day celebration one night on dreams beach and the other on the la terazza and both were incredible. We used adventure photos recommend from the resort for photos and videography and Ivan was absolutely incredible. Had the best time here with our friends and family, recommend tracking down Mario at the pool he will keep your drinks full and remember your order

Vacation at Secrets Vallarta Bay
Let me start the Market Cafe: I would like to recognize the excellent and attentive work of Adrian and Marnay. Every morning, we were greeted with the most amazing smiles and joyfulness! They truly love their jobs and it shows in the way they treat their “family”. Next, the waiters around the beach and pool area. They are all so good at what they do but I would like to make a special mention about Hugo, Carlos, Daniel, and Johnathan. Then, there are the waitresses in the lobby. A huge shout out to Tania and Carmen. Next, we booked the chef’s table again this year and I have to say Alfonso is awesome! This year, we had chef Miguel, and wow, what a chef he is! And then there is Gilberto at Oceana! What a gentleman! Again, he’s always got a smile on his face and always eager to help. This probably shouldn’t be the last person to be praised, but our cleaning lady Delia was THE BEST we have ever had. She always seemed to know when we left the room in the morning because when we would go back to the room after breakfast, our room had been cleaned! Finally, our butler… Carlos… what a wonderful, generous, thoughtful and caring man. Every day, even on his day off, he would get in touch with me, either in person or by message, to make sure everything was OK and if we needed anything to let him know. The entertainment team, WOW, so much energy! A big thank you to Armando for getting me off the chair and into the pool for the aqua aerobics! Thank you Alejandra, Day, Danilo and all the others! And last but not least, a big shout out to all the people whose names I don’t know but work so hard every day and night: the security guards, the bellboys, the barmen, the staff who put out and pick up the towels, the gardeners and those who set up and take down all the private event settings.

Exceptional stay at Secrets Vallarta Bay
My visit to Secrets Vallarta Bay was exceptional especially the personal attention and service provided by Carlos Miranda. He came in clutch to assist with air travel just in time! The food was off the hook especially at Bordeaux and the Manuel/Richard team made my dinner one to remember!

An amazing little gem!
What a gem! It’s a bit old but it still shines. The beach is lovely, food is good and the service was outstanding! It all started with our butler, Carlos Miranda. He was fast efficient and friendly. He checked in on us every day and made certain we had what we needed -like a bottle of wine in the room on our arrival ( OK I didn’t really need it, but he took care of me anyway), a Bali bed, and recommendations for a night on the town. It was obvious he loves Puerto Vallarta.! There were some staff that we found absolutely delightful . Carmelo at the crêpe shop was a cutie patootie. So full of energy and welcoming he was delightful to see every day and we might’ve had a crêpe every night. The breakfast buffet if you can sit in Marney and Adrian‘s section, you will be so well taken care of what a sweet, sweet man and a delightful young woman . The gal making omelet was so fun to chat with-Nayeli knew what I wanted by the end of my stay. Salvador was very attentive in the Italian restaurant. My husband has health issues so we had to leave mid meal-Salvador made certain that we had food to take back to the room. We appreciated that the food did not go to waste. And at the pool, Diego is the hardest working pool attendant. He always made sure our drinks were refreshed and Christian was a really interesting pool concierge -when we couldn’t find chairs he would make it happen and we would find them.. The food is good, although it was hit and miss with some locations . I’m not much of a beef eater but the fillet there while tiny it was outstanding tender cooked perfectly but if your big guy, you probably need to order a couple for a 5 foot nothing woman it was just the right size. The pools were some of the deepest I’ve been to again as a 5 foot nothing woman 4 foot 4 1/2 feet feels deep for me. I had to tippy toe to get from one side to the other. One of the highlights is the nice beach with accessible water, not rough, and the whales were visible from our balcony and from the beach . One little piece of excitement we had on the beach one day was the beach was closed because of the crocodiles. But that was just one day and added to the romanticism of the property.
