  Paradise

  Absolutely paradise, and the staff was so kind and made us feel like royalty. We can’t thank our Butlers Edward and Danilo and maid Jennifer enough. We are looking forward to seeing them all again in August . Love always Chris and Sherinda Jacobs

  perfect hotel for spending lovely holidays

  All of you probably think,that me and my wife are so conservative , because of our repeated holiday stay in the same hotel, mean Joia Bavaro by Iberostar. This year in March April we spent two weeks as a repeated stay in Joia Bavaro by Iberostar. What I can do for explanation our repeated stay in such a lovely hotel, is "only" repeat the reasons , which I wrote in my previous reviews, what means: . the perfect location of hotel with perfect and nice beach perfect and delicious kitchen with super food selection and the same in bevereges of all kinds super and kindly staff in all levels and positions start in chamber maid, porters, kitchen and bar staff and management as well

  Excellent food and service

  Houston was the best! The food was great at every restaurant. The service was awesome; all staff were welcoming and courteous. The beaches are clean, the rooms were comfortable, and the evening shows were entertaining. We would highly recommend the resort.

  Almost perfect

  My husband and I stayed at Joia Bavaro in September 2024 and overall had a great experience. The resort grounds are beautiful and very well-maintained. The food was consistently good, and our favorite was the Dominican restaurant — we liked it so much we went twice! The drinks there were also especially refreshing. Gala night at the buffet is a seafood lover’s dream — definitely worth planning for. During our stay, the beach buffet was closed, which was a little disappointing, and the Boat Bar wasn’t open either. The "lake" was also under renovation, which took away a bit from the scenery. We're total beach people, and one thing we really appreciated was how easy it was to find chairs on the beach — never a struggle, even in the mornings. Same goes for the pool area. However, beach drink service needs improvement. Orders through the app were rarely fulfilled, and the beach server didn’t come by often. When they did, it usually took 20–30 minutes to get our drinks, so we often just walked to the pool bar ourselves. There’s no dedicated beach bar at Joia, which is something to keep in mind. We even walked over to the neighboring Iberostar for drinks, ice cream, and just to explore a bit. Our room was clean but a bit hot — the ceiling fan wasn’t above the bed, and the AC alone didn’t quite do the job. Since we were on the ground floor, we also saw small bugs here and there. When we mentioned it to our butler, his response was, "If I see them, I just squash them," which was a little too casual for our liking. Despite those minor issues, we absolutely recommend this resort and will definitely return. We’ve been to Joia in Mexico, Jamaica, and now Punta Cana — and Punta Cana is by far my favorite, mainly because of the gorgeous Bávaro beach. If they could somehow bring Bávaro beach to the Paraiso complex, that would be the perfect Joia experience!

  I love this hotel!

  I have nothing negative to say about this resort and I am very picky. This is our second time here and it was just as wonderful as the first. The staff is very professional and accommodating. The food is excellent and service is outstanding. I highly recommend this hotel. It is expensive, but you get what you pay for. The nightlife is minimal, but they try their best. I love this hotel!
