Check-in Policy - Hotel requires a credit/debit card authorization or cash deposit upon check-in for incidentals; this will place a hold on your funds.
Convention Policy - Individuals attending a convention cannot book this property for their stay. If found attending a convention, guests may be subject to higher room rates upon arrival.
Spring Break Policy - Bookings traveling in the months of March and April will be subject to the following conditions:
· The minimum age requirement for check-in is 18. One parent or chaperone at least 25 years of age will be required per room for check-in.
· In the event that any guests engage in inappropriate behaviour or cause physical damages to the facilities, the Hotel Management reserves the right to expel the said guest without reimbursement or refund of the remaining nights.
Spring Break Groups Policy - Students/youth are considered between 16 and 23 years of age. In addition to the Spring Break Policy for all bookings traveling March-April, Groups shall adhere to the following conditions:
· Any student/youth group must be pre-approved and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
· Upon check-in, each group will be required to leave a refundable cash deposit per room for any charges or damages that might be incurred during the stay.
Transfer Policy - A price may display when children stay free, if your vacation includes transfer to your hotel.
General Information - Room taxes and service fees are included in vacation price.

This is second visit to the Joia, and enjoyed every minute of it! Many of the staff and Star Friends team recognized my family, and helped to make the week stay great! Our Butler Antonio was great, always a pleasure to see and thrilled to help in anyway. Due to an ankle injury (long term), he noted to leave ice in the room around 8, so that I could ice and rest after a fun day! Cynthia from the Fun and Fit center, along with Janko are great. They lead so many fun water activities. I have mild physical limitations and was able to participate… even paddle yoga! Cynthia remembered me right away (from May ‘24). Roman, part of the Star Friends team recognized me right away while (he) wore a mask to promote the evening show. Luis spotted me as he was arriving for work, and gave me a big hug welcoming me back! Throughout the week he would always say “hi” and always help me when he was free. He helped me with being able to participate in many activities throughout the day ( in May and October). Chef Yadir is fantastic! Always talking with guests, happy to create an amazing dish! The bell boys were all very attentive/helpful. Several waiters recognized my family as well which was great, such as Leonardo and Endrik. Also Rosaura who waitressed around the pool remembered my family. It’s always nice when staff remember you from past trips. Everything about the Joia is fantastic!

Wonderful dinner and ambiance.
Excellent service and great food. Melchor our waiter was fantastic! Mexican restaurant at Joia Paraiso in Playa del Carmen Mexico. The meal was fantastic and service was even better.We will definitely dine here again. Our Sommelier Oswaldo explained some interesting things about Mexican wines!

Great dinner at Legado
We just had dinner at Legado (Mexican restaurant). Our server was Melchor. Ask for him if you go...great service and very friendly. Recommend that you finish off your meal with a Mexican coffee. It's prepared tableside with a bit of flair. The lobster tacos were delicious. Kudos to Angelo as well.

Excellent
Ate at the Mexican restaurant at Iberostar grand.Food was excellent great taste and presentation. Our waiter was Menchor he was great help us in every way he could . Would highly recommend. The desert was oh so very good.. very nice place everyone was very helpful

Couple trip
The Iberostar Grand now Joia is fabulous. We have visited multiple times and will continue. Primarily because of the amenities, location and wonderful staff. The entire butler staff in the 7000 and 7100 buildings are beyond exceptional. They go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable and fun. You want for nothing, there is never a worry. A big shout out to Gustavo, Tania, Manuel, Rueben, Benjamin, and of course Angel and Carolina. We love you all and can’t wait to come back!
