This resort was great, beautiful setting, great views, great landscaping, and such a wonderful staff all around. We had a rooftop butler suite and our butlers were phenomenal. We had Alex and Ranjeet and they were great, though we had more time with Ranjeet and got to know him a bit more. Ranjeet was truly exceptional at his job and as a person. Our experiences with them would be reason enough to come back.

A total 10 experience
We arrived at my expectations were low, but I was pleasantly surprised and have walked away with the fondest of memories the food quality, and the care of the staff go above and beyond. I would like to also give a shout out to Carlton, he’s very good at what he does and he made our lunch extremely well. Highly recommend this resort for location, hospitality, quality of food and staff.

Location - 5, you can be off the plane, through customs, to the Sonesta and into your room in 30 minutes. Facilities 3.5. Older but very well maintained and very clean Rooms - 4. We were in room 504, a butler suite room, the room was very spacious, clean, well appointed, comfortable beds and a nice deck facing the ocean. Gym - 4. Pretty much everything that is needed just not over the top. Pool - 4.5. Small pool with fantastic lounge chairs, fully cushioned with ample seating. Bar and servers on site. Butler service - 5. We had Ranjeet and if your going to use the butler service request him. Very professional with a great attitude, intakes absolute pride and everything that he does. Restaurants - 3 overall and Azule because of its beautiful location a 4. We tried every restaurant and I understand that we are staying at an all inclusive resort and the expectations are not very high for a truly culinary experience but even for an all-inclusive, it was below average. Staff - 2. Quite possibly the most unfriendly staff top to bottom throughout the entire hotel that we have ever experienced in all our travels. A smile and a happy attitude are part of the service industry. I’m assuming that management must have a detest for the tourist that they are serving and that this attitude is passed down to the employees. A couple shining stars, were, Antoine, the young man driving the shuttle bus, promote him to a position where he can influence everyone else to have that happy attitude. Lola, the front gate security officer, let her teach others how to have fun. Spa - 3.5 we did a couples massage and so did the couple that was with us and we all would’ve rated it very much the same. The outside massage in the gazebo is a beautiful place to have it done and the massages themselves were fairly average. because of the location we would stay here again. We would request Ranjeet and have a Butler suite again.

This resort is not for young people at all. The whole week we stayed felt like we was in in old people home. Nothing but old people. The food was amazing and the staff was amazing. The room was nice and clean and the hot water was amazing. But if you looking for fun this is not the hotel. If you want to relax and good vibes yes but for the young people it’s not it.

Memorable Stay
Beautiful space. I hope the employees are being paid well for being there 12 hours plus. All friendly, cordial and kind. Appreciate all staff from the security to room service delivery persons. She was very very sweet. I wish the bartenders were more friendly. Most look like they hated their job and were very dry. Men bartenders were more friendly than the women.
