What We Love
- We love being just steps away from the beach, plus the resort is very family friendly and it's not too big.
Things to Know
- With tons of free water activities to keep everyone busy, a friendly vibe and a cozy atmosphere, Bolongo Bay in St. Thomas is a perfect match for just about anybody.
Whether you're hanging out at the beach or seeing the sights, there are tons of things to do during the day. Start a game of beach volleyball, or challenge the kids to paddleboat races. Try parasailing, or book a snorkel or scuba excursion to see the underwater world. Day trips to nearby St. John, St. Croix and the British Virgin Islands are popular, but St. Thomas also has great appeal. Paradise Point has unforgettable views. The shoreline is beautiful from Magens Bay. And kids love feeding stingrays at Coral World.
Book an appointment with the massage therapist after a long day to unwind. Since Bolongo Bay is smaller and intimate, all 64 rooms are beachfront, so you can kick back and enjoy the Caribbean from the privacy of your balcony. Families don't have to navigate any pesky stairs with young children in the Beachfront Room, and if you're traveling on a budget, the Value Room is just right.

Great for families and couples
The customer service was amazing and the all inclusive was a lifesaver. It cut down the cost of meals per day. I had a great time overall. The room were a little outdated but my view of the beach made of for it. Make sure to have big spray because of the small nits that will bite you. Everyone was so accommodating and helpful with all our questions and requests.

Not worth what was charged.
Rooms need much updating to justify high cost. Front desk was there to add additional costs to our trip, kept pushing all inclusive and shopping at the store. For the price, visit the well know resorts in the area instead. The restaurant food was good, staff were kind.

Do not recommend
Entire facility needs a full renovation. Website and pictures of facility are extremely deceiving. Shower was very tight, no more than 3’ x 3‘. Staff was very mixed, some very nice and helpful, some not so helpful or nice. Once waited about 20 minutes at the table for order taking. Service in the restaurant is extremely slow. Strongly suggest you look elsewhere.

Overall Good Experience
There are a lot of pros and cons to Bolongo. I’ll start with the pros! We did the all inclusive and absolutely loved the food and service. We had great food (and A LOT) of it at every meal. Service was also great - everyone was so friendly and helpful. Drinks were delicious too! Another big pro was that the heavenly days catamaran was right off the dock at Bolongo. We had a great experience going on that twice. Now, the cons. The rooms are definitely outdated. While they are clean, our ceiling had a big water stain that was peeling (and we also found water on the floor underneath it). The bathrooms are also old and as you can see in other reviews, the showers are really small. Virtually impossible to shave your legs as a woman. We also lost hot water for two days which made the shower experience even more challenging. We also felt like the beach could use a clean up each morning - people just left their towels behind and also their cigarette butts. The beach hut also sometimes didn’t have any clean towels for us. If I ever went again, I would bring my own beach towel so I didn’t have to worry about that. We were on a girls trip and felt like it was good for that. Personally, I would not go back for a “romantic” trip with my husband.

Food, Drinks, Atmosphere were all FANTASTIC!
Amazing food, drinks, and atmosphere. 99% of the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The wait for food/drinks was sometimes long, but it was ok (just "island time"). The rooms were a bit outdated and the showers were very small, but that's nitpicking. It was an awesome experience for my wife's 40th!
