    Best server in PBSB

Anna at Tsuna absolutely made our dinner one of the best ever. Her attentive service and sense of humour are beyond compare. We have family here for their first time and they were so impressed. Not to mention the excellent food too of course. Thank you Anna

    Mt sunset experience

Difficulty finding room with good view. Other than that great accommodations and service are wonderful. The check in process takes a little long. David is a fantastic guide and so generous with his time. Carlos at the main pool is wonderful

    Disappointed

If you enjoy luke warm showers, this is the place for you. On cool Cabo nights, I appreciate a hot shower. We’ve called maintenance multiple times and they pretend to fix the problem. Go to the Facebook fan pages. You’ll read all about their water issue. On one day, we didn’t even have water.

    Wonderful first experience in Cabo

My family of four, along with another family of four, visited Pueblo Bonita Sunset Beach last month. It was a beautiful trip. Ahead of time, I went with many reservations after reading various reviews but can honestly say we would go back in a heartbeat. First off, I saw several complaints about the pool temperatures. We had no issues, certainly neither did the 4 children. The sun is hot during the day. The pools are heated to a certain extent, but they aren’t overly warm – that’s what hot tubs are for. The pools are meant to cool you off. The hot tubs are very warm, and made for the perfect ending to each day, as the sun was going down. It does cool off quickly, being on the Pacific side. We knew this in advance and packed accordingly for evenings. We loved the food. It isn’t clear on the website, but it’s the buffet at La Nao that has a theme dinner (which is a buffet) nightly. We only made it here once. The dinner at Tazuna was exceptional. We had quite a wait when we arrived, but were able to grab drinks while we waited, and never went to a meal without card games for the kids, so it was no problem. You could immediately tell the wait was well worth it. The ambiance was lovely. It was by far our best meal, and Alejandro, made it our best dining experience overall. It makes such a difference when the waiter or waitress goes out of their way to interact with the kids and consider their personal requests. There were times throughout the week that certain pools closed early to mid afternoon for events (all but the main pool). Our strategy was to start our day off at these, vacate for lunch, and relocate to the main pool in the afternoon. This is where you’ll be able to enjoy the best whale watching, especially late afternoon, early evening as the sun is going down (I found). The food options at the main pool are wonderful. Drinks were my least favourite, but Manilla Bar, which is right there, made incredible ones. We had several really great servers. I wish I remembered all their names. Erick was one. I really commend these gentlemen for their NON-STOP hustle, ALL day long. Taking a shuttle to the golf course to enjoy a breakfast is HIGHLY recommended. It was exceptional food and service, and the view was outstanding. The balcony at the After provides the most exceptional view for sunsets. We took the shuttle to the Rose one day to utilize the beach and let the kids have a chance to swim. Unfortunately, it was so choppy there as well, swimming wasn’t recommended. They at least got to do a bit of wave jumping. The vendors all along the beach were relentless. Not a minute went by that we didn’t have to repeat “no thank-you’, so we didn’t end up going back again. I recommend downloading the app as soon as you arrive. It made booking shuttles easy, as well as viewing menus ( and dining times) for everything. We did experience a hot and cold water (switching from scalding to freezing) issue one day, that was dangerous because our kids were showering before dinner. I called down and it seemed to have been addressed and fixed fairly by the next day, thank goodness. The teens club charges for everything except snacks. It was rather expensive considering we were on AI, so we didn’t utilize this space, or the kids club. We really didn’t need the break there anyways – there is so much to do and see around the resort, we barely had enough time in each day to enjoy everything we wanted to…a very good problem to have. The grounds of the resort are so beautiful. We were in building 21 and 22 (very top of the resort), and thoroughly enjoyed walking down and enjoying the views, and using the shuttles to get back up when necessary. This building was perfect for us. We began each day at the café within the market, for early morning coffees, and each night here for couple night caps. The kids enjoyed gelato twice a day. I cannot believe the wide variety they offered. The food within the market was far better than I anticipated. We didn’t even come close to trying out all of the food options that were available, within our one week stay. I cannot describe the whale watching. I am still in disbelief; it was magical. We brought binoculars, although they weren’t needed, except from our balcony. I knew we couldn’t go in the water, or even close to it, at the resort going in. But this was a trade off I would choose again and again. Overall, I would recommend this resort. It was more of a village and offered a different vacationing experience for us and our kids. The timeshare sales team is aggressive, but they are just doing their job. However, there should be restrictions about when they can approach you (like not while you are dining). Just be clear if you are not interested. We weren’t and no matter what they offered in exchange for our time, our time and enjoyment there was more valuable.
