An amazing vacation!
We just got home from our week long trip. It was our first time staying in Cabo but it won’t be our last! Sandos Finisterra is a beautiful, well kept resort. There are amazing views of mountains, the ocean, and the marina. We stayed in a marina view room and had 0 complaints. The room was clean and spacious. The mini bar was well stocked and they use a large jug of water instead of plastic bottles, so be sure to bring a reusable water bottle. We had one housekeeper named Kasandra who left us a kind note one day. The food was incredible. There was always something for everyone. Don Diego’s for breakfast was delicious. Adi the hostess was very welcoming and could even recall our last name and room number without prompt after a couple days. Salazar the server at breakfast always had a smile on his face. Emiliano’s was our favourite, but we never had a bad meal. On Wednesday nights they have a white party where you dress in white and it is a buffet on the beach. The fire show was amazing and here the general manager of the resort recognizes her staff which we really liked to see. We spent most of the time at the adult pool with the swim up bar. Poolside servers Norma and Carlos always went above and beyond and kept our drinks filled. We also never had any issues getting a spot at the pool. The entertainment staff at this resort made this trip so special for us. A huge shoutout to Carmen, Eve, Enrique, and Yuki. They definitely love their jobs and kept us busy. We admire how hard they work after working long hours everyday. We participated in the question of the day, tequila tasting, a walk to the swimmable beach, bingo, trivia, water aerobics, and the foam party. There were many more activities to try. Although I didn’t recognize every staff member at this resort in this review, everyone’s hard work and dedication does not go unnoticed. Thank you to all the staff for making this an unforgettable trip! Overall I would 100% recommend this resort and my husband and I will be back!

Gorgeous setting, great accessibility, world class staff.. Skip the sales pitch.
Beautiful setting, perched on a hill between the Pacific and the Marina. Walking distance to the whole marina/town center, Mt Solmar hiking, and to the public beach. Had the Jr Suite Ocean View and were able to clearly see the endless whales swim by. Beds were comfortable, room was clean and bright. Morning coffee at the cupcake cafe over looking marina was fantastic. Those girls were always smiling and loved making designs in your lattes. Breakfast buffet at Don Diegos was large, and delicious where our guy Jorge hooked us up with great outdoor seating and endless mimosas, mexican coffee (wife's new favorite) and coffee with bailey's. He knew how we liked our morning to start! Poncho at Emiliano's, the Italian restaurant, didn't let us down on his dinner recommendations and fantastic service. Upsetting that they were closed on Friday nights tho as their desserts were the best in the resort! All dining staff across the whole resort were very attentive, regardless of wristband color. Wristband was also your room key which rarely worked for me. The restaunts and cafe all looked over the resort into the marina and/or Pacific, not a bad view from anywhere you ate. I didn't do the spa, but my wife loved it. There's no swimmable beach on the property as the Pacific waves crashed the beach all day and night, even on calm days. The swimmable public beach, with mainly locals, was a short walk at end of the road where you could walk all the way to Pelican Rock, tho you will get wet in a few spots. All pools had great drink service from the staff roaming the pool sides. No shortage of open chairs on the beach and no need to rush to reserve them early as they always seemed empty. Near constant entertainment on-site as they held nightly shows up on the stage by the restaurants, a beach party and Carmen put on entertainment around the Pools. Beware the membership sales presentation! We were told it was only 90 mins, with breakfast in a members area (Emilianos) included, in exchange you'd each get a 50 min massage and 30% off extras at the spa. Breakfast turned out to be a small buffet and wasn't impressive. We had the meeting the first morning we were there after arriving at 330 the night before. After 2.5 hours the manager finally walked away as we told them no multiple times and that since we just got there we asked to be given at least a full day at the resort or get a chance to check out the town and marina before deciding if we wanted to buy in and they said absolutely not, he'd give us one hour was all. They never mentioned there was a 5 yr plan til it was a last resort and we wanted to be done and go start our vacation. We wasted half the first day with that mess and it ruined some of the experience on site for us. Also took 5 days to receive our $20 deposit back in case we skipped the meeting. We'd have bought a membership later in the week or at check out if we could have received the same offer as our first day but that clearly wasn't an option. Cabo itself is incredible and being walking distance from everything helped improve our experience. Exchange rate is better at Sandos than the airport but even better at the marina itself if you use US dollars or credit cards. 5 stars had we not done the sales pitch.
