Feb 20, 2025Great location and tremendous experience
We have been here in the past and you can never beat the view looking out over the marina. The resort is getting a little long in the tooth and it may be time for some renovations. The food was excellent, although the service could have been kicked up a notch in terms of speed, the staff was very friendly and enjoyable. If you have never been, put it on your bucket list.

Pool Service
The service at the Bites pool was awesome. Javier and Carlos were are waiters and did a terrific job. We were never waiting for a drink and were friendly and nice. They thought outside the box and brought us a bucket for our beers and had ice cold beers at all times.

Carlos is a great bartender. exceptional service great location, nice rooms and grounds, food could improve (easy walk to ediths if you want a good meal) convenient for going out but also has a quiet pool so you get both amazing staff throughout

Breathless Cabo location is KEY, Seals are fun too!
Breathless Resort Cabo stay from Feb.12-16,2025 ROOMS: Key cards given for access to room and entrance to Breathless buildings, including Xhale Club (if paid extra for Xhale)no wrist bands. Room 1327(3rd floor) lock on room door does not have deadbolt (anyone can enter at anytime if they have a key), if it does dead bolt we didn’t figure out how to do it? Phone in toilet room, shower is a rain shower (if you don’t mind that). Bathroom double sink w/all bath products and amenities. Stocked mini fridge in room. Snacks like peanut M+ M’s, Snickers and Pringles. Coffee maker in room. Ice bucket. The king size BED was pretty comfortable more on the firm side, plenty of big soft pillows (there is a “pillow bar” if need a special fit of pillow). My husband likes a thin flat pillow, the concierge brought one up to our room. Full length mirror in room and safe in closet. Desk, tables and chair, couch at foot of king bed. Outside balcony deck with two chairs and a table, overlooking bustling marina. The biggest complaint from people is about the seal noise at night they “bark” at all hours; we remedied this with a “white noise” fan app on our Iphone. FOOD: Overall food was great! Breakfast: Bites (near quiet pool), order ala carte with menu. Infinity pool (loud pool) near beach has a breakfast buffet can do made to order omelets there. Lunch almost everyday at Bites order from lounge chairs near quiet pool. Last day had excellent tacos at free standing taco chef station/grill near loud pool. Dinner: 1st night at Spumante Italian Restaurant. Had a tasty and creamy salmon/shrimp with saffron risotto. Loved the chocolate mousse for dessert. Night 2: Ocote Mexican restaurant was also excellent; was able to order lobster tail & friends ordered the steak. One friend didn’t even order dinner and they brought her out a petit filet, she ended up eating it and said it was absolutely delicious! Everyone was pleased with their dinner at Ocote! Night 3: went off property to Hacienda Beach Club (Oppenheim Group) restaurant, next door to Breathless. This was a beautiful building, had a wonderful outdoor patio overlooking beach and pool. Great experience, it was Valentine’s Day, the restaurant gave the ladies a rose and the gentleman a card with conversation starters on it. I had a filet, it was like buttah. All restaurants were very accommodating to allergies: we had shellfish and gluten free. All serves were knowledgeable. HOTEL: Many reviews state that this a a party hotel. The expected demographic was young yet there were many people in their forties to fifties. Some 60-70s as well. Please be aware that there are essentially two pools we named them the “party pool” (near beach) and the “quiet pool (near marina). We definitely gravitated towards the quiet pool each day. The party pool blasted music during the day and each day we were there they had a DJ and sometimes poolside entertainment. Basically there are two pools and a public beach area that is swimmable. Downside: we pre-arranged(about a month before we came to resort)to have a reserved cabana for two days. We emailed Michelle Castro (title is head concierge?), she confirmed. First day of reserved cabana our traveling guests went to the beach to claim cabanas and they were treated rudely and told we did not have cabanas. Therefore they came back to the “quiet pool” where we claimed lounge chairs and decided we did not want to rent cabanas by the beach and pool anyway b/c it was really loud near beach. EXCURSION: Private Whale Watching cruise to Sea of Cortez/ Pacific Ocean/ Scooby Rock/El Arco on an absolutely clear blue skies beautiful day. We used Cabosailing.com trip was arranged with, Uriel, our Amstar rep through the hotel. Our small group of four saw whale after whale after whale —it was an amazing experience! Our guides Roberto & David were so knowledgeable and entertaining. They made us turkey sandwiches, chips & guac and drinks. Highly recommend! Xhale Club: worth it to our group. We like top shelf liquor, was nice having access to the lounge. Both check-in and check-out was fast and efficient for the most part. We upgraded to Xhale Club so they took us straight up to the Xhale Club lounge at check-in. They gave us all pertinent info and then they brought the Amstar people and possibly time share to try to sell additional excursions/packages. They wanted us to do a breakfast the next morning in which “no pressure” and you can leave whenever you want”. We didn’t buy it, not our first rodeo. We wanted a private whale watching cruise and they cost is $650. They offered it for $200 if we sat through presentations. We did not do it. Overall the biggest and best reason to pick the Breathless hotel is the location! It is the only hotel that is close to the marina and a swimmable public beach. The marina has so many restaurants, shops and bars to choose from. We walked along the marina pier each morning, we did a nice 3 mile loop. Overall, had a great experience here! Also it would be a very fun place to for a group to celebrate a 40th, 50th or 60th birthday.

Marina view
2nd company trip here in 5 years. So was familiar with the layout. It’s not expansive like your typical inclusive resort, but you can’t beat the location. Easy access to the boardwalk around the marina. Great views! Food is not exceptional. I would recommend the omelette from Bites and Ivan’s service was 5 ⭐️.
