Secrets Huatulco
The resort has gone downhill since our last visit 5 years ago. The Hyatt has bought Secrets chains and have cheaped out on things. No Mexican beer at pool food not hot at some restaurants and not enough staff for servers. There were a few people that helped us. Roberto in the lobby got us a taxi and made sure to speak Spanish to the driver so we were dropped off where we wanted to go. Marco took care of our luggage when we changed rooms. Eden booked us a table on Oaxaca night right near the entertainment and had our wine waiting on ice. Natalie in Market was always very pleasant. Abraham with membership was very helpful and polite. He didn't pressure us when we asked him to let us enjoy our stay. Abigail at front desk accommodated us with our room change when we were booked in the wrong type of room. Overall we had a very enjoyable vacation. We hope we return with improvements.

Critical Review of Entitled Tourists:
Critical Review of Entitled Tourists: A Blight on Hospitality There’s a certain kind of tourist that manages to dampen the very atmosphere of what should be a welcoming and serene destination. These are the ones who, despite being guests, behave as if the world revolves around their whims and preferences. Entitled, overly critical, and often oblivious to the effort that goes into creating a memorable experience, they leave a trail of negativity wherever they go. This entitlement reveals itself in nit-picking over the most trivial issues—complaints about the temperature of their drink, a minor delay in service, or even the shade of paint on a building. Rather than embracing the uniqueness of their destination, they impose their own rigid expectations, forgetting that they are visitors, not proprietors. Such behavior doesn’t just burden the staff but also other visitors, who have to endure the sour mood these individuals create. As someone who deeply values this location, I’ve come to appreciate its authenticity and the hard work of those who maintain it. It’s a place that deserves respect, not undue criticism from those who fail to appreciate its charm. Hearing these dissatisfied tourists declare they’ll never return is, in fact, a relief. It means the destination will be freer of their negativity, allowing those who truly value its essence to enjoy it in peace. Let’s leave the nit-picking and entitlement at home and embrace the experience for what it is: an opportunity to explore, appreciate, and support the people and places that make our favorite destinations so special. For those who can’t, perhaps staying home is the better option—for everyone involved.

Huatulco and Secrets are a must for Canadians
The junior suite swim up room was clean and met all our needs. The bed was very comfortable and the shower had lots of water pressure. The location in the resort was great. We took advantage of the resort location walked around to explore near by bays, towns, and cities. (15-1.5hr walks). There was lots of different kinds of birds and ocean life to observe around the area. The restaurant variety was typical of a resort and the food was great. The overall customer service is a 10. Everyone is friendly and very helpful. We may never go back to Cancun or the Mayan Rivera as the resort and Huatulco are much cleaner, better weather, and a more authentic experience.
-
One of the more affordable Secrets locations, and it shows.
Beautiful area of Mexico, laid back. However, the Secrets facility is getting old and neglected: Old dirty concrete floors, unwelcoming bars and average food, compared to more luxurious Secrets. It seems that management has given up on renovating this resort, as long as Canadians are willing to flock to it due to direct flights.

View and spa are the best
Nice place to just relax. Needs a bit of updates to pool. Staff is very good at pool area and buffet. Could use a little work on entertainment. Have stayed a many other secrets, have to say the spa staff is one of better that we have been to. The view from rooms are great and from the spa too.
