A different and beautiful place
I went with my son and daughter-in-law, it is a hotel that I would describe simply beautiful, from its gardens that are beautiful and which we were able to see thanks to Dayana on her tour of patios, to the areas such as the beach and restaurants! It's fascinating And something I don't see mention of is how spectacular this place looks at night, with many lights and imposing nature. Dinner has been our favorite moment since there was always a new menu that made us try different things. Without a doubt we had an incredible time, I hope to return one day.

Tranquility in a hotel surrounded by nature
We loved this place, quiet, with a serene atmosphere and beautiful views, a paradisiacal beach and personalized attentions. We are really satisfied with our service in this spacious but cozy hotel! Very deserved 5/5 If we reward it, it is a beautiful experience.

Nice place for vacation
We are currently on our second day at Blue Diamond Hotel, and we are absolutely satisfied with everything. The food is excellent, and the staff is both professional and friendly. Even for small requests like maintenance or bringing water, they respond quickly—whenever we called reception, they arrived in no time. On our first day, we had a minor issue where using the hair dryer caused a power outage, but the staff quickly came and fixed it right away. Our room has a beautiful view of the cenote, which adds to the peaceful and natural atmosphere. We highly recommend this hotel for those without children who are looking to relax and enjoy a quiet, nature-filled getaway!

Great, unique, lush resort! As long as you’re not looking for the party scene of a giant resort hotel.
Really great resort set in a lush, tropical setting and perfect getaway as long as you are not looking for the party-scene type of resort. If you have one of the oceanfront villas, that’s fantastic and right next to the pool and main restaurant. If you are in some of the other villas like the patio suites we were in, they are really nice rooms just about a half mile walk to the main pool/beach/main restaurant. It’s a lovely walk along a lush stone and concrete winding pathway. But it’s definitely not the type of place you can be at the pool and easily “run up to get something from your room“. But if you want to get your steps in, it’s a great place to be! The patio suites were very spacious with a gorgeous stone and tile bathroom with double-bay shower with a sliding door out to a little miniature concrete pool. Probably especially nice for couples who want to enjoy the romantic setting of these rooms. The food at every restaurant and bar was really excellent. They offer enhanced menu items for an à la carte price, which may be our fantastic, but you are fine to stick with the items that are part of the all inclusive at breakfast lunch dinner or bar. Really great food. They particularly had fantastic soups for some reason! The pool area is relatively small, but lovely with immediately adjacent bar and set directly oceanfront with the beach, just a staircase away. The main dining room is lovely indoor outdoor breezy space where you can get your inclusive, breakfast lunch and dinner virtually all day long.

What Happened?
The first few days were great and the spa is amazing but after what they called an" air conditioning issue that impacted the entire place", all good customer service seemed to have gone on vacation taking with it a higher rating for the Blue Diamond. Set among mangroves and a pictoresque environment, the hotel induces a sense of privacy and tranquility. Staff on the grounds and spa are friendly. HOWEVER, when you are set in the jungle proper air conditioning is a must. The front desk repeatedly told me that there was some type of problem that impacted the entire resort but it should be back on shortly. That never happened. We asked if they had additional fans but they said none were available ( no contingency) and repeated the statement of the unit should be working but it will take several hours to cool the room. Also, please note, there is construction directly near the hotel which is very loud at times. The hotel is beautiful but being without air conditioning and feeling they were being less than truthful about the issue leaves me no room to give it a rating greater than two stars. ( P.S. the bicycle chains are very loose and comes off easily)
