We absolutely LOVE El CID, this was our 6th time there and it keeps getting better. We are so impressed with the consistently good service, cleanliness, food, and recreation. The improvements to the beach (we loved kayaking and snorkeling) and new additions (rooftop bars and new restaurants) continue to make this resort wonderful. The hardworking staff create the most wonderful experience and we love that it continues to be a family friendly resort. Shoutout to the beach maintenance crew - so impressive and all of the food staff - servers, chefs, etc and the grounds crew - wow it’s Beautiful. Manuel Diaz and Are Mendez are exceptional butlers Our favorite restaurants were Italian, French, seafood, Hibachi is always fun and we loved the buffet for breakfast - omelet staff are outstanding! The food overall is wonderful! Thank you all, we hope to be back soon!

The butlers and servers were wonderful!
Butlers Omar, Gerson and Alan were great!! They were very attentive and so friendly!! They all worked well together to communicate our needs to each other and even answered texts when they weren’t working. Very professional and friendly. Can’t wait to come again!

Are and Manuel
This resort is an amazing experience. It never fails to provide the best in service. I was lucky that for 2 years in a row Are Mendez and Manuel Diaz took care of all our needs. Their attention to ensuring we were well taken care of is unsurpassed. Every day they ensured I knew their work schedule. Every day they asked if I had any special request. And if I did, these two gentlemen made sure my request was taken care of. This is my favorite vacation spot because of the amazing staff, great food, and overall experience.

Amazing Staff!
My husband and I have been traveling to El Cid resorts for over 10 years now and the El Cid Ventus resort in Port Morales is by far our favorite. What makes this location so special for us are the butlers Ari and Manuel. They treat us with such kindness and respect that honestly, I feel like their family. We communicate through out the year via WhatsApp. Any questions or concerns we have are immediately addressed. There are many more employees at the resort with whom we feel fondly. They remember us and ask about family. Across the board, the people at El Cid are friendly and caring❤️. A few positive things to mention about the resort are: *Numerous dining options. Our favorite is the French restaurant which is managed by Pedro- awesome! He remembers the particular wine and table you prefer and always greets us with a smile. The evening hostess, Lupita, is a star! Sadly she was working in another restaurant during our February visit. We hope she is moved back to the French restaurant soon as she and Pedro are an excellent team! There are many restaurant choices ranging from the Marina restaurant which serves mainly fish dishes, to Italian, French, Hibachi grill, Mediterranean, Mexican, and Aakat which serves a fusion menu. You can certainly find something to make you happy. * Room service is offered but I don’t use it so I can’t speak to the quality of the food. *Nightly entertainment offered, and bands playing in some of the lounges. *Five clean well maintained pools. The large pool over at Marina caters more to the younger families and teenagers as it offers a water slide, music and pool entertainment. Ventus pool has water aerobics in the morning. There is a pool area designated for adults only which is nice. *The beach is a little bit lacking so if you’re looking for a beach vacation, this may not be your spot. *The resort offers Spa services such as messages, facials, manicures, and hydrotherapy. *Two small gyms * Rooms are clean and comfortable. You have a pillow menu and an option for turndown services. * Their recycling program is impressive. Housekeeping separates trash as rooms are cleaned. You will not find a plastic straw on the grounds. Period! Negative: *Their steak knives- across the resort are quite dull. ( not saying the meat is tough) * The beach is pretty narrow. * Prices at the Spa are higher than I see posted in my neighborhood, and for reference, I live near Washington DC. * The town of Puerto Morelos is approximately 1.5 miles away yet a $12 one way cab fare. It would be awesome to have a shuttle offered several times a day provided by the resort.

Excellent Stay
We love this place. We've been going there for the past 8 years. The service is great, the food is great. Nice entertainment in the evening. We have access to all three resorts (pools, restaurants etc..) They are ready to accommodate you, if possible, all the time. We had 2 amazing butlers, Sebastian and Ricardo. They did everything for us; restaurant reservation, checking on us if we needed something in the room. For Valentines day we had a nice surprise coming in our bedroom. (check the pictures) If your a wildlife lover, you have a chance to see many different animals on a walk down the streets. We saw many Coati's, agouti, crocodiles, iguanas, raccoons and many birds.
