Check Your Travel Credit Balance

There are three types of credits you may receive when you experience issues with your vacation: Future Travel Credit, Customer Care Credit and Air Credit. Before you start re-planning your vacation, take some time to review what options you have with each credit type and how they can be redeemed.

Keep in mind that your rebooked vacation does not have to be identical to the original reservation; you can pick a new destination or hotel. However, if you have an airline credit indicated in your credit notification, you may have to keep the same airline provider, depending on your original ticket types and original airline’s policies.

    Future Travel Credit

    Future Travel Credit (FTC) is issued when a booked vacation is cancelled. FTC is nonrefundable, nontransferable and not redeemable for cash. FTC will be issued in the names of each passenger on the original reservation, for set travel periods. Check details for more information.

    Customer Care Credit

    Customer Care Credit is valid on vacation packages or activities purchased through CheapCaribbean. Customer Care Credit expires one year from issue date and is nonrefundable, nontransferable and not replaceable if lost, stolen or destroyed. Customer Care Credit is VOID if altered or obtained fraudulently.

    Air Credit

    The processing of Air Credit varies by airline. If your vacation package included flights, you may have a credit with your airline for the cost of those flights. Air Credit may be redeemed directly with the airline or through CheapCaribbean on your next booking.

Future Travel Credit

If you’ve received a Future Travel Credit (FTC) from CheapCaribbean, it will fall into one of two categories: a “per reservation” credit or a “per person” credit.

Per reservation: this type of credit is issued to reservations that were migrated from our old booking system to our current system; if this applied to your reservation, you would have already received a communication with further information.

Per person: this type of credit is issued to bookings that did not include Travel Protection Plus or those with the Travel Protection Plus credit-only option.

Both per person and per reservation FTC status can be looked up online. Please read through the following steps to find out how you can keep track of and redeem your FTC.

How to Redeem Future Travel Credits

Future Travel Credit issued for bookings with an original travel date of 3/1/2020 – 12/31/2020, either online or via one of our agents, have been extended and are now valid through December 15, 2021. Booking and travel must be completed prior to this date. FTC issued prior to 3/1/2020 expire one (1) year from date of issuance.

If you’re ready to book a new vacation using your FTC, start by:

Once you have your preferred destination, hotel, dates, and excursions picked, you’ll have two options:

  • If you have Air Credit, you will need to follow these steps to complete your booking.
  • If you don’t have Air Credit, you can continue through the booking process as you normally would.

When you’re ready to complete your reservation and apply payment, select "Travel Credits" from the payment type options.

  • You will need to use your original reservation number in order to redeem the travel credits.
  • If using a “per reservation” type of Future Travel Credit, at least one passenger from the original reservation must be on the new reservation.
  • For all passengers redeeming credits, the name used on the new reservation must match exactly with the name used in the original reservation.
  • Please note that credits can only be applied in their full amount–you will not be able to apply partial credit when making your new reservation.

Once you rebook using your FTC, subsequent changes or cancellations are subject to airline fees at the time of change/cancel.

If you purchased travel insurance, your FTC will not include the cost of insurance because it is nonrefundable and non-creditable.

Terms and Conditions

  • For 2020 travel: Future travel credits that were originally set to depart in 2020 are valid for 12 months from date of issue and must be used for travel commencing prior to expiration date.
  • For 2021 travel: customers with per person travel credits that were originally set to depart in 2021 have travel credits that are valid 13 months (395 days) from the original departure date.
  • Future Travel Credit is nonrefundable, nontransferable and is not replaceable if lost, stole or destroyed.
  • Future Travel Credits from up to two (2) reservations may be used in one transaction.
  • Future Travel Credit is VOID is altered or obtained fraudulently.
  • Future Travel Credit is not a credit or debit card and has no implied warranties.
  • Each purchase is deducted from the balance of the card. If the package price is greater than the value of the CheapCaribbean Future Travel Credit, the difference may be paid with an additional CheapCaribbean Future Travel Credit and/or a credit card. If the package price is less than the value of the CheapCaribbean Future Travel Credit, the balance will remain on the card until it is decreased to zero or until the card expiration date, at which time the card will be deactivated.
  • CheapCaribbean reserves the right, and holder of the card agrees that CheapCaribbean may at any time change the terms of the program or contract with another third party to administer the CheapCaribbean Future Travel Credit program.
  • A CheapCaribbean Future Travel Credit may not be resold by any unlicensed vendor under penalty of law; unlawful resale or attempted resale is grounds for seizure and cancellation without compensation.
  • A CheapCaribbean Future Travel Credit will not be redeemed or exchanged for cash, check or credit, except where required by federal or applicable state law.
  • A CheapCaribbean Future Travel Credit redeemed for travel is not refundable and not exchangeable. If travel is not taken, any funds originally associated with a CheapCaribbean Future Travel Credit will be considered used and will not be refunded.
  • Future Travel Credit and Future Cruise Credit are not interchangeable or transferable between each other.

Customer Care Credit

If you have a Customer Care Credit, you may check your balance at any time by entering your card and PIN numbers below.

How to Redeem Customer Care Credit

To use your Customer Care Credit, start by shopping for a vacation package.

Once you have your preferred destination, hotel, dates, and excursions picked, you’ll have two options:

  • If you have Air Credit, you will need to follow these steps to complete your booking.
  • If you don’t have Air Credit, you can continue through the booking process as you normally would.

When you’re ready to complete your reservation and apply payment, do the following:

  • Select "Gift, Service and Promotion Cards" from the payment type options.
  • Enter your card number, PIN and amount you wish to apply to your package.
  • Continue through the payment process to finalize your booking.

  • Customer Care Credit expires one year from issue date.
  • Customer Care Credit is non-refundable, non-transferable and is not replaceable if lost, stole or destroyed.

Air Credit

Air Credit is processed directly by our airline partners1. When you look up your FTC or Customer Care Credit information, the amount displayed will only show your credit with CheapCaribbean.2

If you have Air Credit, you will be able to redeem it directly with your airline provider or on your next booking with CheapCaribbean.

How to Redeem Air Credit with CheapCaribbean

If you wish to use Air Credit on your next vacation package, follow these steps:

  • Find a new vacation that fits your needs by browsing our all-inclusive deals.
    • If you have Air Credit with JetBlue, please note that even though JetBlue flights do not appear on our site, you are still able to book them through our call center.
  • When you have your preferred destination, hotel, dates, and excursions picked, call us at 800-915-2322.
    • One of our agents will help you complete your booking.
    • You will need to have your Air Credit information available.

1. Note that all Air Credit amounts and expiration dates are set by the airline, not by CheapCaribbean.
2. This does not apply to Exclusive Nonstop Vacation Flights. If your credit notification and/or lookup showed that you have Air Credit and you wish to use it, please follow the same booking steps outline above.
