BEST RESORT ON SAINT LUCIA BY FAR!!

This place is top tier! Service starts and the airport and gets better and better throughout your trip!! We stayed in villa 810 and had 3 butlers making sure we were good to go all day every day! Aldon, Ned, and Sherman were our Butlers and anything we wanted was taken care of by them and the service was better than we could of imagined. Example: we wanted to go off property for dinner and Aldon booked our dinner reservation at Tree Top and scheduled our taxi to and from. When we got there we had a honeymooners table all alone on the balcony patio!! We didn't arrange that, Aldon did!! He was awesome! That is just the butler, the folks that took care of our room when we were out always made sure it was tidy and clean and even drew a bath for my wife with flowers as a finishing touch!! Each shuttle driver was personal and fun to talk to, shout out Charles "Big C"! Service by the pool and beach were friendly and would go out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. Example Afra talked to us about the local birds for a couple minutes and his coworkers name is escaping me but he saw I was drinking a Rude Boyz beverage which I purchased off site and he offered to get me more for the next day. He was cool I wish I remembered his name, it was 4 letters. The bartender Lawerencia makes a delicious cocktail and was fun to talk with as well. I felt like I was welcomed into a big Sugar Beach Family the entire week I was there. I will definitely return to Saint Lucia and will only ever stay at Sugar Beach! Oh yeah everyone at breakfast service is beyond friendly and make sure your day gets started on the right foot. From the host to the omelet professionals!

    Nice but over rated

Visited the beach here and decided to have lunch. Whilst the food was good, for the price it was eye watering expensive and the staff dont make you overly welcome as a “guest” who isn’t staying at the resort. There are plenty of options elsewhere on the island and the small public beach means I think this is vastly over rated

    Awesome birthday dinner!

Ladera also has a shuttle to this beach just once a day. We drove ourselves here. There is free parking then you have to walk about 15 mins to the beach. The Sugar Beach resort shuttle does not take you down to the beach unless you have a reservation at one of their restaurants. The walk back up to the parking lot is about 15mins depending on how often you stop to rest, as it is a very steep climb. They will allow you to take their shuttle back to the parking lot, however you have to spend $100 per person in one of their restaurants or use their beach chairs, which is also $100 per person. On 3/14 I did have my birthday dinner with them. It was their beach barbeque night, and it was indescribable. The menu very extensive, with various ethnic foods, a large variety of grilled meats, a large desert area, and a great live band. It was spectacular. No complaints there. The resort look extremely luxurious, only difference here is that it is a family resort.

    Beautiful spot w/Top-notch service

A stunningly beautiful spot between the petit and gros piton on Saint Lucia. Service and staff is top-notch. Food at Saltwood and Cane Bar is very good, with extensive wine options. Our villa with private pool was very comfortable and private. Shuttle service throughout resort is handy. Two beaches to choose from. Water sports, including snorkeling, which I enjoyed. It is expensive. And it may not be the best for those who are wanting to enjoy a getaway without children.

4 out of 5, good family place

A lovely resort. Imported sand nestled between the Pitons made for a scenic day, every day. While we went as a couple, it’s actually more of a family resort imo. They had a daycare service, but with the pool and all the floating mats and trampolines in the water, there is plenty to do without having cartoon-type kid stuff everywhere. I stretched out on a floating sunbathing mat in the ocean daily while my husband smoked his cigar next to me. The water was great and beach well kept. There was a more private beach that was adults only. It was much quieter, but plenty of kiddos at that beach as well. If you’re looking for a place of complete quiet and serenity with no babies crying or kids fighting over the pool noodles, this might not be it for you. We stayed in a walk-out beach room, which was clutch. Had a great view and our own hot tub which was used nightly. It’s a hilly resort and I’d hate to walk it, but they had drivers everywhere. Our butler service was outstanding. Plenty of shaded lounge chairs. Gym was really nice, one big pool. Lots of games (ping pong, cornhole, etc) which we enjoyed as adults. Main drawback was the food and cost of the food. The breakfast buffet was included in our package (great buffet btw), but we dropped $80 at lunch everyday for a burger and tacos, no drinks. The small bottle of Tito’s in your room was $60 PLUS tax, which made it $74 at checkout. If the food was the best I’d ever had, I’d get it, but it was average. Any room service request had an extra $18 charge plus the tip, which was always included in your bill. At a place this high end, it’s probably expected to be this much to eat. We left the resort twice to eat elsewhere and had better food for half as much (Felicity’s on the Rooftop). Mitch at the Trip Guy did a great job arranging this for us!
