The Relaxing Resort Experience I Wanted
A friend and I spent a week at Manchebo Beach Resort in mid-November 2024. Overall, I got what I wanted - a peaceful, beautiful resort experience to decompress after having worked hard on the US election. Here are the pros and cons. PROS - Great location - quiet, plenty of space, nice facilities (pool, beach, gazebo for hanging out as a group). Especially after visiting Palm Beach on the north end of the Island, we really appreciated the much calmer, quieter Manchebo Beach. - Staff is wonderful and helpful. - Easy to get places at the beach and a very peaceful and comfortable gazebo with seating overlooking the beach and the ocean. After reading horror stories of needing to fight for or even pay for beach chairs at other Aruba resorts, this was a real plus and a big reason I chose Manchebo. - Good eating options within an easy walk. We particularly enjoyed the Arubean Cafe and Santos Coffee with Soul for breakfast, Waters Edge and Screaming Eagle for dinner, and Pizza Bobs for lunch. We also had a fantastic dinner at Yemanja in Oranjestad but that is a taxi ride away - the other options I named are walkable. - There are thoughtful touches like putting small coolers in each room that allow you to buy beer or drinks at a market and take to the beach, and an air-conditioned hospitality suite with showers you can use after checkout before heading to the airport. CONS - Food at the resort was consistently mediocre. This is based on having tried breakfast, lunch and dinner and finding all just disappointing. I mean, how do you screw up a burger? It was dry, cardboard like - the strongest flavor was the onions. I tried to order avocado toast for breakfast but they were out, so got the oatmeal casserole which was fine but really just a $12 bowl of oatmeal with apples. Coffee is also mediocre (recommend Santos or Arubean as good alternatives for quality coffee and breakfast). - Drink/food service at the beach is hit-and-miss. There is a system where you put up an orange flag to indicate you want to order and they come on a Segway, but we waited one day for over 30 minutes. Good that they offer you the cooler and ice (so bring your own drinks, or walk to the bar) and since the food is mediocre, not worth the wait - go elsewhere for lunch like Pizza Bob’s which is less than a 5 minute walk. - Pool spaces are harder to come by than beach spaces and most of those lounges are more sun exposed. The pool though was very refreshing - it is kept a very comfortable temperature and was never itself crowded when we were there.

Gem in Aruba
Great place if you want to rest and relax. The service is terrific. Non complaints. Just three restaurants but food was delicious. The service at the beach is a must. The people were really kind since the arrival until the departure. Great place for couples

The Best place to Stay in Aruba
Manchebo, is a different experience in Aruba. If you want a gorgeous relaxing beach, great food and drinks (all A La Carte, no buffet), and fantastic staff. Then look no further. This is the only time i would recommend paying for all inclusive anywhere. Accommodation is only 2 story. Furnishing and cleanliness in rooms is perfectly acceptable, and better than the photo's show. You can walk everywhere in the resort in less than 2 minutes. Its a hideaway, with a Casino just outside and if you want Nightclubs, then get a taxi to Noord.

A beautiful resort
Manchebo exceeded our expectations. The room was comfortable, and the view was perfect. I was so happy they had delicious plant-based options at each meal. We loved the resort's size because the beach experience had a more private beach feel.
