    5 stars!

We always have an amazing time at the Garza Blanca. The facilities are beautiful and they do a great job managing how busy the property feels, even during spring break. The service is impeccable - want to particularly call out Javier at security and Ericka/Javier at Bocados for being amazing!! We will always continue to return.

    Blanca Blue Breakfast

We loved our breakfast at Blanca Blue each morning. The views were spectacular, a diverse and delicious offering of food, and most importantly the service from Elaine, Mario, Omar and Andres was 10/10. Coffee always full and kids were happy.

    Yum!

Delicious fresh dishes - got prime seating outside and enjoyed the weather! Really enjoyed the crab cake, mussels, and grilled octopus and plan to come back for surf and turf next time. Was taken good care of by martín and rosarío - they were fun and patient as we practiced our Spanish!

    Dissapointed

Extremely Disappointed – Not Worth the Price or the Hype Stayed March 18th–22nd This trip was meant to be special — a wedding celebration we saved for over two years. Our group of 20 (12 adults and 8 kids) booked seven rooms 11 months in advance, including a 3-bedroom penthouse, three condo-style suites with kitchens, and three 1,400 sq. ft. hot tub suites. We’re not high-maintenance — just families and friends excited to celebrate together. The entrance was small and lacked glamor. The bellman was kind, but the front desk staff were cold and unwelcoming. Our concierge started off helpful but turned rude once we raised concerns. At one point, she mocked our group in front of other staff and even via text (attached to this review). We waited hours by the crowded pool for our rooms. Most were ready by 3pm, but the penthouse kept getting delayed — first promised by 2, then 3, 4, and finally we were let in at 4:45pm. Nearly five hours after arrival. The rooms were beautiful with great ocean views — except the ones near construction. Heavy equipment, dump trucks, and concrete saws drowned out the ocean. No warning was given ahead of time. When we brought it up, we were met with sarcasm and zero effort to accommodate or assist. The beach was small and rocky. Several guests, including kids, cut their feet on newly dumped river rocks that hadn’t been smoothed by the sea. It felt unsafe and uncomfortable, especially given the resort's promotion of beach access. The resort is split by a busy road, so traffic noise was constant — even into the night and early morning. Two of our suites had poor insulation, making it hard to sleep. When we raised the issue, we were ignored — even mocked with a crying-face emoji. Dining was another challenge. We were told we couldn't book the top restaurant until arrival, but it was full when we got there. Thankfully, we had pre-booked two others. Food was just okay. They pushed upsells not included in the all-inclusive plan, which was frustrating. Service at the pool was excellent — the team works hard and clearly expects tips. Some in our group didn’t realize this right away and saw a noticeable drop in service until tipping resumed. The adult side of the resort was plain and not very welcoming. Between the construction, traffic, noise, and unresponsive staff, our group was left incredibly disappointed. As a Tafer member who has enjoyed other properties, I can’t recommend this one. It’s overpriced and lacks the attention and care we expected. We spent over $30,000 on this trip, and no one reached out to us during or after our stay to address any of our concerns — not even a basic check-in. That’s concerning. I’d be even more worried for someone booking just one room expecting a luxury experience. Most of the glowing reviews seem to be from timeshare owners. And yes — they push hard for you to attend a timeshare presentation. If you decline, the tone shifts fast. Expect high-pressure sales tactics. I’ve never written a negative review before. I work in hospitality and made multiple attempts to share feedback during and after our stay — no one responded. I’m only writing this to help others make an informed choice. I wouldn’t want anyone else to be misled or treated the way we were.
