great time at both pools and the beach. was a bit windy this time of year, so the waves made the ocean a little less fun than it could be on calmer days. we did the swim outs and there was a lot of action in those pools and plenty of fun and drinks. The shows are probably about as good as can be expected. we missed the big foam party that we had seen in the past. not sure if they still do that or not. service was very good and food above average for this level of resort. the rooms were very nice and comfortable. Treasures down the beach gave amazing massages for an excellent price and their gift shop is the best priced in the area. stay away from "the dominican walmart" shop in the same area. they tried to rip us off constantly, not just in the shop but at the small bar and restaurant just outside as well. we will never return there and we will warn anyone who listens. Overall a great time and a great resort for the money. been twice and would return.

Beautiful, expansive hotel with many options
The resort is huge and gorgeous. The rooms were large and very nicely decorated, the hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful and made us feel like honored guests. Each room comes with its own golf cart (most are gas powered but the newer section of the hotel has much smoother electric carts) that are needed to cover the massive resort property (some parts of the resort are 15 minutes by cart or so from the hotel center); there are also complementary shuttles to the major locations. Restaurant food was good across the board, with the hotel restaurant (La Cana) one of our favorites. The negative was the internet - in our room, it was quite slow, with email or streaming downloads often freezing and spinning. Our room cell phone connection was 3G and weak; closer to the hotel, the cell signals were better. Net, great place we would go back to.

Beautiful Resort Breathless experience
One thing can be irritating.. Towels are not ready in the morning, need to wait in line to get 2 towels while the kioske is still closed, on vacation, I don't want to waste my time waiting in line to get towels. Think about providing them earlier. Or provide two towels in door.

Amazing birthday trip !
What an amazing resort! We came to celebrate my son’s birthday and from the check in to the check out our experience was amazing. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel special every day. The food was incredible and we never felt like we ate the same thing everyday. I have never been to a more friendly resort where all you see is friendly smiles. If you’re looking for a spot to relax have a good time and have amazing food this is the place !

Great time for a 50th birthday girl's trip!
We traveled on a girl's trip for a 50th birthday celebration and it was an amazing experience. While some may say, do not do the Xhale package, I would highly recommend it. The individual attention that we received from our Concierge Alias and her team was amazing. Juan in the Xhale Club lounge was quick to get us any drink and made us lots of yummy cocktails. Sincerely was a very welcoming experience. The resort was clean and beautiful. The beds were comfortable and rooms were clean. The staff was very accommodating for any extra requests. At dinner, Edwardo and Jacob made a great impression. Would highly recommend for the perfect trip for relaxation with some nightlife and entertainment mixed in!!
