Woohoo! The countdown until we meet our next set of Woohoo Beach Ambassadors is officially underway, and we couldn’t be MORE excited. Get a glimpse of what life is like as a Woohoo Beach Ambassador, and who knows, maybe soon you’ll be joining this epic crew!
What Is a Woohoo Beach Ambassador?
CheapCaribbean launched the Woohoo Beach Ambassador program in 2021 to recognize True Beach Lovers that represent our mentality that life is MORE fun at the beach. We select three ambassadors, reward them with three FREE all-inclusive beach vacays and share their entire experience across our social channels. And this year, we've coordinated one of these trips to be an "influencer-in-training" experience with influencer Megan Homme! She'll host our 2023 ambassadors somewhere tropical (we have to keep some things a secret) and host an epic training session, including a welcome brunch party and lessons on how to capture the best beach content.
Salute to the Commander in Beach
After we wrapped up the program's first year, we invited Woohoo Beach Ambassador Lynne Wright back to serve as Commander in Beach, aka a seasoned vacay specialist with a knack for social media and capturing life’s “Woohoo!” moments.
“From camel-back rides on the beach in Cabo, zip-lining through the jungle in Costa Rica, snorkeling in Aruba, and partying in the Dominican Republic, CheapCaribbean has checked every box,” Wright said. “I love a mix of adventure and relaxation for my vacations, and CheapCaribbean has not missed a beat in making sure I get a little of each.”
We love seeing Lynne live her best life as Commander in Beach… we’re even a tad jealous. Nonetheless, sharing her epic experiences is what inspired this year’s Woohoo Beach Ambassadors to apply in the first place!
What Are This Year’s Woohoo Beach Ambassadors Up to?
We selected our set of three totally awesome ambassadors last summer and immediately started planning their adventures as Woohoo Beach Ambassadors. It’s safe to say they’ve been busy beachin' it in paradise!
Mary Oyler
Mary is a mom of two kids and loves spending time outdoors, especially if a good glass of wine is in her hand. Her first trip as a Woohoo Beach Ambassador was a relaxing getaway at Dreams Curaçao Resort, Spa & Casino, where she and her husband laid low at the pool, snorkeled right off the resort’s private beach and enjoyed all-inclusive amenities at the on-site restaurants and bars.
Next up, Mary and her husband are bringing two of their friends on their Woohoo Crew Trip, an inclusion in the 2022 program to bring three friends along on vacay, to Riu Cancun in July. They’re looking forward to showing their friends the ins and outs of a CheapCaribbean vacay by exploring local Mayan ruins and drinking lots of bottomless palomas by the pool!
Alexis Oyediran
Alexis is a cheer coach, but we’ve loved cheering her on as a Woohoo Beach Ambassador. Her adventures began with a mother-daughter vacay to Iberostar Grand Bavaro in Punta Cana. She continued the fun on her second trip to Riu Reggae Montego Bay, where she mastered posing for the perfect beach selfie and having a blast at RIU Party with her Woohoo Crew. Her favorite excursion? A catamaran cruise, of course!
Kaitlyn Wilson
Last May, Kaitlyn graduated from college, and what better way to celebrate graduation than with an epic summer at the beach! Her first trip as a Woohoo Beach Ambassador was to Secrets the Vine in Cancun, a chic, adults-only resort perfect for pampering.
She and her mom got massages at the spa and enjoyed a relaxing all-inclusive escape before embarking on her next beach adventure to the Bahamas. Kaitlyn took three friends, aka her Woohoo Crew, to Riu Palace Paradise Island for a good old-fashioned girls' trip.
“It was the best place to let loose and have fun,” Wilson said. “The drinks were delicious, and we became good friends with the entertainment director. We saw a couple of shows, but most nights, we danced the night away!”
How Do I Apply to Become a Woohoo Beach Ambassador?
