Resorts can seem overwhelming, and it’s easy to miss all the things available for you while on vacay. Whether you prefer lounging poolside all day or not, we’re introducing you to several things to do during your next resort vacay, even activities you might not have known existed.

Indulge at the spa

Almost all resorts, whether all-inclusive or not, offer a full-service spa or at least spa services. Most services cost extra but getting a massage on the beach is definitely worth the extra buck. From hydrotherapy to facials to full beauty salon services, don’t miss out on getting pampered in paradise.

Make use of the kids club

Most family-friendly resorts provide a place for adults to drop the kiddos off for some much-needed R&R, but these kids clubs aren’t just babysitting services. Many have plenty of activities ranging from video games, arts & crafts, treasure hunts and splash parks just to name a few. While times and services range between resorts, kids clubs typically don’t cost extra with an all-inclusive stay, making these ideal for both parents and kids. Some resorts even have teen clubs with daily and nightly activities for those angsty teens wanting to have some space.

Have fun with exciting entertainment

Every resort varies in the types of entertainment it offers. Some might have insane pool parties during the day. Some might try to woo you with dinner and a show. Others could have a variety of shows, clubs and dance classes to entertain you. Sipping cocktails under a palapa sounds great, but it’s totally worth investigating to find out what entertainment you can enjoy throughout the day.

Check out watersport rentals

From snorkeling gear to kayaks to hobie cats, resorts rent out a variety of watersport gear–all included in your stay! Yes, you read that right. While most motorized watersports like jet skis and scuba diving cost extra, typically you can enjoy a variety of non-motorized watersports for no charge. Amp up your beach time snorkeling in the crystal-clear water or kayaking out to sea–we promise it’ll make your getaway that much more memorable.

Swing on the greens

Is there anything better than golfing with the sound of ocean waves in the background? Golf courses are sprinkled all over Mexico, the Caribbean and Central America. Some resorts have a golf course on their grounds, while some provide transportation and complimentary green fees to nearby golf courses. Whatever the case may be, take advantage of a chance to spend a day on the greens rather than the sand.

While all of these amenities aren’t available at every resort, there’s a good chance you’ll find a few where you’re staying. The beach and pool are nice, but sometimes it’s exciting to spice things up a little. You can even get more perks at these all-inclusive resorts.
