As Mexico's easternmost state, bordered by the two bodies of water, Quintana Roo offers some of the most incredible underwater adventures and diverse marine life. Home to some of the best beach party scenes, including last year's Noble Beach Prize winner Grand Oasis for "Best Beach-o-tainment," Cancun is a total dream! From nonstop happy hours and endless margaritas to foam parties and beach bars, its no secret that Cancun's famous Hotel Zone is popular among spring breakers. The Surfin' Burrito, Chuchito Perez and Blue Gecko are some tourist and local favorite beach bars you have to check out!
However, if partying isn't your thing, its central location still gives you access to plenty of other daytime adventures like the ancient Mayan ruins, and more family-friendly areas and resorts, including the stunning Villa del Palmar Cancun Luxury Beach Resort & Spa.

The small, popular island of Cozumel, just 12 miles off the coast of the mainland, is the perfect destination for avid snorkelers and divers. Don't let its size fool you, though, because there's an endless amount of marine life to explore off its pristine shores. Columbia Reef, El Cielo and The Money Bar Beach Club are some of the most popular snorkel spots around the island.
For some awesome on land adventures, you won't want to miss Faro Celerain Eco Park, Chankanaab National Park and the San Gervasio Ruins!
