The Woman in the Window

by A.J. Finn

Lots of hype surrounding this book (a movie is already in the works???), but this chilling thriller keeps you on the edge. Anna Fox is an agoraphobic and has not left her house in over a year. She’s estranged from her husband and daughter, and spends her days drinking, pill popping, visiting online chatrooms, and - the best part - spying on her neighbors. One day she witnesses something terrible and it's hear where the plot twists and turns until the end.

The Wedding Date

by Jasmine Guillory

Rom-Com Alert! On the eve of his ex's wedding festivities, Drew needs a plus one. A power outage strands him with the perfect candidate for a fake girlfriend. Little did they know that their pretend relationship would turn into a long distance romance. Easy, fun read that is ideal for days spent around beachin'.

Before We Were Yours

by Lisa Wingate

This book is packed for my upcoming trip to Puerto Vallarta. Maybe not light-hearted, and probably not really a "beach read", but thought-provoking, and the story seems nothing less than riveting. It's based on one of America's most notorious real-life scandals--in which Georgia Tann, director of a Memphis-based adoption organization, kidnapped and sold poor children to wealthy families all over the country--this heart-wrenching and ultimately uplifting tale reminds us how, even though the paths we take can lead to many places, the heart never forgets where we belong.

Little Fires Everywhere

by Celeste Ng

Loved this book. I was hooked the from the beginning, but heard from others it took them a page or two (good thing all you have is beach time.) Story takes place in Shaker Heights, one of the first planned community in the United States, where everyone is inherently in each other's business. You'll explore the weight of secrets, the nature of art and identity, and the ferocious pull of motherhood – and the danger of believing that following the rules can avert disaster.

The Thousandth Floor

by Katharine McGee

The first book of three - this futuristic Gossip Girl is full of fun.  The story of five teens in a futuristic world (Manhattan 2118) where there is a tower spanning nearly the entirety of the city (42nd street upward through Harlem), with the most expensive, exclusive apartments being on the higher floors. Everyone here wants something at no cost to others.
