Popcorn is awesome, but Coconut Popcorn? Even more awesome. You get that irresistible salty sweet sensation that is to-die-for delicious. Here's how you make it.

What You Need: Popped popcorn, butter, sugar, coconut extract and shredded coconut.

Step One: In a small saucepan, melt butter. Add sugar and stir to dissolve. Bring to a boil, and let boil 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat and add coconut extract.

Step Two: Place coconut on a baking sheet, and bake at 400F for 5-10 minutes until lightly toasted. Stir, and bake another 2-3 minutes. Sprinkle coconut on the popcorn and place in a large bowl.

Step Three: Pour butter mixture over the top, and stir to coat.

Step Four: Dig in and enjoy!

Coconut Popcorn

A tropical twist on a old favorite, Coconut Popcorn is the bomb.

  • 10 cups popped popcorn
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp coconut extract
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded coconut
  1. In a small saucepan, melt butter. Add sugar and stir to dissolve. Bring to a boil, and let boil 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat and add coconut extract.

  2. Place coconut on a baking sheet, and bake at 400F for 5-10 minutes until lightly toasted. Stir, and bake another 2-3 minutes. Sprinkle coconut over the popcorn and place in a large bowl.

  3. Pour butter mixture over the top, and stir to coat.

  4. Dig in and enjoy!
