From ancient ruins and natural phenomenons to deep-sea fishing and jungle adventures, Central America has something fun to do for everyone. Obviously we all love beach vacations, but have you ever visited beach destinations in Central America? They're incredibly diverse in surroundings–so you'll always have somewhere new to explore. Let's dive in to see what adventures await in Central America.

Explore Belize from below at Caye Caulker

Dive in to the warm aquamarine water of Belize–home to an abundance of friendly sea turtles, sting rays, sharks and tons of colorful fish swimming through the stunning coral reefs. Just 20 miles off the coast of Belize sits the tiny island of Caye Caulker, where all of your island-time day dreams come to life. Explore this Belizean gem from below by snorkeling through the Belize Barrier Reef–as of 2019, THE largest coral reef system in the world–or along the diverse mangroves. Make this adventure a day trip and even relax on a beach, explore the island via bicycle or grab a drink at the Lazy Lizard.

Witness The Great Blue Hole of Belize from above

Speaking of the largest barrier reef... It's not everyday that you can experience a view like this in person. This Belizean natural phenomenon lies within the famous Belize Barrier Reef and falls a whopping 400 feet into the depths. While many choose to only witness The Great Blue Hole by snorkeling through it, taking a fly-over tour is just as stunning and worth while.

Visit The Sloth Sanctuary of Costa Rica

Home to an abundance of tropical flora and fauna, Costa Rica is also popularly known as home to our favorite chill, slow moving jungle friends–sloths. Two species of sloths exist in Costa Rica: the brown-throated sloth (three-toed sloths) and Hoffmann's two-toed sloths. If you don't get the chance to see one in the wild (a.k.a in the rain forest), then you have to visit The Sloth Sanctuary of Costa Rica where they rescue, rehab and research these cool creatures. The facility is all about conserving the country's rainforest ecosystem through extensive research and fun educational tours dedicated to sloths in their natural habitats.

Go white-water rafting down the Tenorio River

Calling all adrenaline junkies! Take the scenic route through the Costa Rican jungle by white-water rafting down the Tenorio River. This adventure will surely get your adrenaline pumping as you paddle through class 3-4 rapids–if you didn't know, that's raft talk for heart-pounding (in the good way, of course!) and insanely fun.
