So, you might be wondering: why does everyone love Los Cabos? Is all the hype actually worth the trip? We're going with... um yes! Here are the top 8 reasons to visit this stunning Baja California beach haven, including why it stands out from all the other popular all-inclusive vacation destinations.

1. Incredibly Perfect Weather

Just about every time someone posts a photo of their Cabo vacay, the weather looks absolutely perfect--because it almost always is! January temps are around 66 degrees Fahrenheit, which while a bit low, is still better than being in the ice and snow. June showers are typical, but never last long (but that's for most tropical destinations, anyway). In August, the temp sits around 83 degrees, most days. Simply put, Los Cabos is one of those beach getaways that is eternally awesome.

2. Stunning Landscape

Our hearts still skip a beat every time we see the majestic rock formations, Los Arcos, rising out of the sparkling blue sea. Aside from its famous arch, Los Cabos stands out with its mountainous, desert landscapes. It’s not home to dense jungle flora and fauna like the Caribbean Islands or its coastal opposite, Cancun. Instead, it’s dazzled with fringy palms, rocky mountains, cacti and MORE. Plus, it sits on Mexico’s west coast, so you’ve got a front-row seat to some of the best sunsets in the Pacific.

3. Stellar Golf

Name a golf pro and they’ve got a signature course here--you’ll see Jack Nicklaus and Greg Norman’s names nearly everywhere you turn. One of our favorite all-inclusive resorts, Secrets Puerto Los Cabos Golf & Spa Resort, has the best of both with a "composite" course designed by both esteemed pros, Nicklaus and Norman. It’s got elevation changes, a.k.a. hills and vistas, that will take your breath away. Many courses have sweeping views of the deep blue and are hugged by palm trees and native shrubs. Simply put, there are many greens that you can discover and fall in love with in Los Cabos.

4. Super Easy to Access

Los Cabos is situated on the tip of Baja California, just below SoCal, where the Sea of Cortez is on the eastern side and the Pacific is on the west. You can get flights from most major cities in the U.S. and Canada, and depending on where you are, you can get direct flights. Just make sure your passport is up-to-date and you’re good to go!

5. Lots of Zen, World-Class Spas

Nothing will get you in the vacay spirit like a rejuvenating massage. Los Cabos is a hotspot for wellness retreats and for travelers who just need a little R&R. Zoëtry Casa del Mar Los Cabos is a boutique beachfront paradise with a swoon-worthy spa, dedicated quiet zones and daily yoga and meditation sessions. Some of our other favorite all-inclusive resorts with wonderful spas include the Barcelo Gran Faro Los Cabos and Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach Golf & Spa Resort. You’re sure to leave either of these peaceful escapes relaxed and rejuvenated.

6. Crazy Fun Nightlife

But Los Cabos is MORE than just R&R. It’s also home to some of the best beach bars and nightlife! There’s the iconic Sammy Haggar’s Cabo Wabo and bachelorette hotspot, El Squid Roe. Dance your heart out to epic throwbacks at Nowhere Bar, a newfound fave located in the heart of the marina. Also in the marina is the adults-only all-inclusive, Breathless Cabo San Lucas Resort & Spa. It’s an oasis for social butterflies, with pulsing poolside DJs, bottomless cocktails and nonstop fun.

7. Off-the-Charts Cuisine

If you want some food to accompany your cocktails, you’ve got a lot of choices: everything from taco stands to five-star restaurants! You could eat every meal of the day with your toes in the sand at the iconic The Office at the Beach. Start the day with Machaca Beef with Egg Burritos or a smoothie. Lunch on Grilled Fresh Sea Bass or Cazuela (seafood soup) and finish the day with Coconut Shrimp or Tuna Cajun.

Tacos Gardenias, located at the Marina, is the best place in town for delicious fare like fish tacos, shrimp special molcajete and tortilla soup. If you want to go all out, Edith’s (also at the Marina) has an exquisite menu with a selection of steak, fresh seafood and traditional Mexican cuisine. The tableside Caesar salad is a must, too. Head to Bar Esquina for delicious hand-tossed pizzas, expertly crafted cocktails and a cool, trendy ambiance.

Lastly, one of the best ways to experience Los Cabos is on the water. You can find scads of sea-worthy adventures from leisurely sunset sails to snorkeling charters, you can’t go wrong. Most notably, Los Cabos is home to some of the world’s best deep-sea fishing, so if you’re feeling adventurous, tackle the deep blue sea with guided local fishing tours.
