1. The Great Blue Hole

What's so great about the Great Blue Hole? Well, this world-famous marine sinkhole is a ginormous circle with depths reaching 125 meters. It's the largest natural formation of its kind and is a part of the world-renowned Belize Barrier Reef System. Take a deep dive and see some of Belize's awesome marine wildlife–including reef sharks and giant groupers!

2. Island Hopping

Did you know that there are over 450 small islands and cays scattered along Belize's coast? Hop on a boat and spend the day visiting the numerous cays off the mainland of Belize. Many of the island hopping tours allow you to fish, swim, snorkel and of course, explore! You can ball out with an adventure complete with luxurious accommodations or visit a remote island and pitch a tent under the stars. There's a budget and island for every type of traveler.

3. Ixcacao Chocolate

Believe it or not, Belize is famous for its chocolate creations that are locally grown in the country's lush jungle. You can tour small, certified-organic farms where you can learn how to make the delicious treat. But you won’t find the recipe to make any commercial-grade chocolate bars here–Hershey’s ran a chocolate plant in Belize for many years, but the country's Bean-to-Bar movement pushed them out. So, you'll not only get to indulge in some handmade chocolate, but you'll be supporting Belizean farmers and families!

4. Visit a Solar Powered Island

Calling all green thumbs! Bomba, an island off the coast of Belize where the main source of electricity is from solar power. You can explore the island and see how the locals live. Remember to bring your cash- you’ll be lucky to find a place that takes mainstream credit cards.

If all of this talk about Belize has you ready to book your next vacay, we've got you covered! Dive into our hottest Belize deals and you'll be eating chocolate in the Great Blue Hole in no time.
