1. Seven Mile Beach
Seven miles of white sand wonderfulness? Sign us up! Seven Mile Beach is the crown jewel of Negril and a haven for beach lovers. There are plenty of resorts lined along its shores, but it also is a great spot for a day trip filled beach bars, water sports and looooooong walks on the beach.
2. Doctor’s Cave Beach
This beachy haven is located in the heart of Montego Bay in an area known as the Hip Strip. In the early twentieth century, its waters were believed to have healing powers, hence the doc reference! Today, its shallow waters are perfect for basking in the Jamaican sun with a cocktail in hand. There is a small entrance fee, but it includes access to amenities like clean restrooms, showers and changing rooms.
3. Frenchman’s Cove
This is one of the islands’ hidden gems. No seriously, it’s tucked away on the northeastern coast, surrounded by verdant cliffs, untouched sands and mesmerizing waves! It embodies the natural spirit of Jamaica, so if you’re up for a day trip, we highly recommend hitting the road to check out this beachy beauty.
4. Hellshire Beach
Another authentic Jamaican gem–Hellshire Shores. It’s located on the southern shores and is a slice of island heaven, even though the name might suggest otherwise! It’s famous for its fried fish shacks and calm, swimmable waters, basically where the locals go for good grub and relaxation.
5. Boston Bay Beach
Last but not least, we have Boston Bay Beach. This is one of the most popular surf spots on the island, but you’ll also find sunbathers and beach bums dotted along its shores. Its postcard-worthy sands and electric blue waters are the perfect spot to post up with a cold beer, a good book or a pair of sunglasses to watch the local surfers do their thing!
