The time has come to announce our 2020 Noble Beach Prize Winners! As another year starts, we’ve rounded up some of the best of the best of resorts in the Caribbean, Mexico and Central America.
If you don’t know what Noble Beach Prize is, let us explain. These are awards given to resorts based on an outstanding amenity or feature offered, or for just being overall amazing. We award resorts with this honor to recognize them for their awesomeness but also to tell you all about them!
With 18 different categories, resorts submit entries to 17 of the categories. Internal judges within CheapCaribbean narrow each category down to the top resorts, and then a carefully curated group of external judges choose the final winner. The last category–the Golden Pineapple–is chosen by the people who know the resorts best, our customers! Through our email subscribers and social followers, our top 10 resorts were voted on to decide the Golden Pineapple winner.

Leah Shoup owns the travel website GringaJourneys.com, is a content creator and Spanish translator. She has a knack for finding colorful places wherever she goes (see for yourself on Instagram: @leahshoup) and will never say “no” to gelato while traveling. She currently splits her time between Atlanta, Georgia and Santiago, Chile, but is always looking for the next up-and-coming destination to explore! Her favorite adventures typically involve sunshine, mural hunting and maybe even a piña colada.
