  This place is off the charts AMAZING! Such a fun and relaxing place. The staff is exceptional and treated us like royalty. Our butlers were Aldo and Janet. They took care of our every need. We ate every meal at the Palafitos restaurant but also tried the street tacos at Maroma and they did not disappoint. Huge shout out to Alberto!! He is so personable and funny. He showed us the property and always remembered our name. This was our 3rd time at an ElDorado resort and we will be at Royale next month. Guess we need to become members.

  Best Honeymoon anyone could have ever dreamt of.

  Our honeymoon at the Palafitos Overwater Bungalows was, in a word, perfection. From the moment we were whisked away in a luxurious sedan from the airport, we knew we were in for something truly special. That top-notch service was a consistent thread throughout our entire stay, setting the tone for an unforgettable experience. Stepping into our overwater bungalow for the first time took our breath away. The panoramic views of the turquoise Caribbean Sea stretched endlessly beneath us, and the bungalow itself was a masterpiece of design and comfort. We loved everything, from our private infinity plunge pool to the glass-bottom floor panel that offered glimpses of the vibrant marine life below. But what truly made our Palafitos experience exceptional was the extraordinary service. Our butler, Yasser, was simply incredible. He anticipated our every need, often before we even realized we had one. Yasser orchestrated every aspect of our stay with such grace and genuine warmth, making us feel not just like valued guests, but like cherished friends. Whether he was arranging excursions, securing the perfect dinner reservations, or simply ensuring our bungalow was immaculate, his dedication was unwavering. He went above and beyond, remembering our favorite drinks and surprising us with thoughtful gestures. Adding to this impeccable service was the delightful Rafael, our beach butler. Rafael’s cheerful demeanor and proactive approach ensured our days lounging by the pristine shores were pure bliss. He was always on hand with refreshing drinks, cool towels, and a constant smile, ensuring we never wanted for anything. And then, there was the food. Oh, the food! To call it merely "5-star" wouldn't do it justice. The culinary journey at the Palafitos was a revelation, a testament to the artistry of the resort's chefs. Each meal was a meticulously crafted masterpiece, truly reminiscent of a Michelin-star dining experience. We savored fresh, locally sourced seafood, perfectly cooked steaks, and innovative dishes that broadened our culinary horizons. Every dish was a work of edible art, from the exquisite presentation to the complex flavors. The service in every restaurant was as impeccable as the food, with attentive and knowledgeable staff. We were constantly amazed by the creativity and consistent excellence of every single meal. Beyond the extraordinary service and sublime cuisine, the entire atmosphere of the Palafitos Overwater Bungalows exuded serenity and romance. The intimate setting, with its limited number of bungalows, ensured a sense of privacy and exclusivity. We spent our days swimming directly from our private deck, indulging in couples' massages, and simply soaking in the breathtaking sunsets. Every detail contributed to an overwhelming sense of tranquility. Our honeymoon at the Palafitos Overwater Bungalows was more than just a vacation; it was an immersive experience in unparalleled luxury and heartfelt hospitality. It was a journey where every need was anticipated, every desire met, and every moment felt like a dream.   Breathtaking place, the views, the food, the beaches , the attention provided was incredible, Fernando, Alberto, William, Yasser and the entire hotel staff were really amazing! Super recommended. I will definitely come back…………………..

  Amazing retirement celebration

  When I started looking for an overwater bungalow The Palafitos popped up. I was surprised to see they were in Mexico. I weighed the pros and cons of here or going to the south Pacific and decided on here. Amazing! I first booked a regular bungalow and then changed my mind to upgrade to the elite. I wasn’t able to get the elite for the first two days there so I was able to see both sides. The regular overwater bungalow is beautiful and faced the beach. There are a lot more fish and marine life to see from your deck. But there wasn’t much of a breeze and got very hot later in the afternoon. At no fault of the resort there was a lot of seaweed and every morning you would watch as the workers worked very hard to clean it up. Then we moved to the elite. Absolutely gorgeous view. We had a wonderful breeze to help cool us down in the hot sun. There wasn’t as much marine life to see but there was some. If I had to choose between the two bungalows I would definitely take the upgrade and book the elite. The view is breathtaking. The food here is amazing. I have been to many resorts in Mexico and hands down this is the best food we’ve had. We didn’t try any of the restaurants in the main resort except for the taco restaurant and Pepitos for breakfast. The taco restaurant had some of the best tacos we’ve ever had. The Palafitos Wine and Grill restaurant was delicious. Even the room service food was excellent. I will say that the regular dinner menu has very small servings. Kind of like tastings. So if you’re expecting large portions for dinner on the regular menu you’ll be disappointed. Still delicious though. Service….unbelievable! Anything you ask for they deliver! Our butlers William and Pilar were wonderful and so accommodating. After they learn your likes and dislikes they just go ahead and do it for you. We brought our cooler with us and every morning they would fill it with ice and fill it with the beer of our liking. I can’t say enough about the two of them and their service. I would definitely go back and we’re already planning a trip back next year.

  Amazing!

  Amazing trip from start to finish. This is our second stay at Palafitos and it can't be beat. Our trip started with private transport in a comfortable, clean Lincoln Navigator with a personable driver. The Bungalow is spacious, comfortable and nicely appointed with a comfortable bed, private pool and sun deck. We enjoyed the beach and the ocean. The food at the palafitos restaurant is excellent and we ate all of our meals there or through room service. Our outstanding service was led by our butler staff of Aldo and Yassar who not only attended to our requests but as the week progressed anticipated our needs. Outstanding service was also provided by Randy, Julian, Lazarow, and Arturo in the restaurant/room service. Daniel at the beach bar and the beach butler (Maybe Enrique?) were awesome. Berta and the rest of our housekeeping crew were excellent as well. We can't wait to return!!
