Wonderful experience. No hidden expenses, and the food was phenomenal. STRONGLY recommend upgrading to Vantage Club as the drinks are even better there, and you get access to rooftop as well as snacks throughout the day. The beach club was so easy to use, and felt exclusive. It wasn't overcrowded, and gave us the full beach experience we wanted. The service was truly exceptional - all needs were cared for very quickly.

Couldn’t stay away — the ceviche and service from Jesus and Chef Mario were the highlight of my trip!
I had an incredible experience here during my trip! Jesus and Chef Mario went above and beyond every single day to make sure everything was perfect. Their service was warm, genuine, and made me feel like family. The ceviche was absolutely outstanding , so fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. I loved it so much that I came back every day of my trip! Thank you, Jesus and Chef Mario, for making my visit so memorable. Highly recommend!

All around, fabulous
Fantastic resort! From the food and beverage experience to the gorgeous beach club, and modern accommodations, the Hyatt Vivid Grand Island is top notch. Make sure to try the food trucks in addition to the other restaurants, all great! The array of activities was incredible. Beth, Debi and Melissa were visiting pro instructors, in addition to all the other fun and fitness classes. Special shout outs to a few of our favorites. Pablo and Marisel at the beach club, e-team Sofi, Cesar, Nama, Yohanna, Angel and Orlando, and the best bartender, Hector. We will definitely come back soon!!

Literally the best resort

Oct 30, 2025Our first Experience at the Hyatt Vivid Grand Island
Upon arrival, we were greeted by Oscar at the valet check stand. He was outstanding, taking care of all of the bags and golf bags. This continued for the entire 7-day trip. He is one of the best I have ever dealt with. He directed us to the Vantage Club, where we checked in, and we also met our UVC rep. Porfirio was our contact during our stay, and he was very helpful in making reservations and setting us up to play golf during our stay. Setting up golf at the course that was right next to the hotel proved to be very difficult. They were using email to set it up. When we questioned this practice, we were told that was how they handled it. It did not work well, and we were not able to play the course do to both the weather and the poor communication practice. After checking in, we went to lunch, and we met Hugo, who became the waiter of choice during the stay. He was excellent, and we found him at the Vantage Club rooftop. And his service was outstanding. The rooftop pool area was excellent, and we spent a lot of time there. The rooftop pool had an excellent bartender, Roberto, who was outstanding. After checking in, we headed to lunch, where we met Hugo. He quickly became our preferred waiter for the remainder of our stay. His service was outstanding, particularly at the rooftop area of the Vantage Club. The rooftop pool area was excellent, and we spent a lot of time there. The bartender, Roberto, was exceptional and did a fantastic job serving us. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by Oscar at the valet check stand. He was exceptional, efficiently taking care of all our luggage and golf bags throughout our entire week-long trip. He is truly one of the best I have ever encountered. The restaurant's at this facility were limited, to say the least. They were not what we had come to expect; we were used to 7 to 9 different styles as found at a Dreams or Secret's property. For a Hyatt to only have 4 and not all of them open was very disappointing. We did enjoy the Japanese, but going there 3 times was not very inspiring. There was one bright spot, and her name was Dyana. She was excellent and made us feel special every time she saw us. Being UVC members for over 13 years, we have come to expect great service and superior amenities, and facilities. And now that Hyatt has taken over, we would expect the same. The Grand Island did not live up to its name. The facility was great, nice rooms and well cared for. But the amenities were very light, food was just OK, nothing that I would rush back to do again. If Hyatt is now the flagship, it is time for them to step up and be the leader. This is not the way to upgrade the program. This facility will not be on the list for a return visit, nor will it get a strong recommendation for others to try it out. It is sad because the people are working hard and doing an excellent job. But even they understand it is not what the members have come to expect.
