  Can't wait to go back!

  Just stayed here at the Secrets Maroma Beach in Cancun last week and we did NOT want to leave! Right from the moment we arrived, we were very impressed with the staff and how attentive they were to us and our needs/wants. The resort is set back in a mangrove, so the drive to the resort is quiet, secluded, and in a very natural setting: all things we loved! The lobby was beautiful, the beach also beautiful, and lots of happy couples (plus a single we got to know on our last day, so this isn't JUST for couples if you're thinking of going alone!). All of the restaurants are beautifully decorated and have great items on their menus. Rooms are clean and VERY well decorated, allowing you to easily relax in your bed when you need time out of the sun. Staff is very friendly as well. We got to talking to a few of them and were able to make great personal connections, which made our stay even more comfortable knowing that you had friends/good people to talk to even outside of the pool. We also booked an excursion through Amstar: Tulum tour, ATV ride, & Cenote swim! We had the pleasure of having Domingo giving us the rundown as to what each excursion was offered via different entertainment companies and what each of those excursions entailed. He was extremely helpful in narrowing down which excursion we would most enjoy and he was also just very pleasant to talk to. We ended up chatting with him for an extra few minutes because he was just an all-around great guy to talk to. Highly recommend him! There is not a lot of negative (if any) that we can really say about our stay here. The only thing we would comment on is the pool-side chair set up. We would wake early to try to "claim" a set of chairs for ourselves by the pool as many chairs were already "claimed" by 6AM! I had gotten lucky one of the days and was able to claim 2 chairs around 7AM, to then be told if I left those chairs unattended for 45 minutes that I forfeited those chairs. But I would see multiple groups of chairs being left unattended for hours at a time and no one "reclaiming" those chairs. However, another couple we befriended did have their umbrella taken (staff thought they had been gone too long) and given to another. It was a bit ridiculous to have to get up so early for a couple loungers. That being said, overall, we were VERY happy, and we look forward to coming here again.

  Amazing!

  We loved it here. They had amazing customer service throughout our stay. Every person we passed gave us an hola or buenas dias when we walked by and were there to answer any questions. The restaurant staff were particularly fantastic. Alfonso at breakfast was a standout for sure. Be sure to go to the Coco cafe for awesome coffee and desserts. At the pool, we loved the sunglasses cleaning station, the fruit cart, and the ice cream cart. The show in the main pool is also great! We got to the pool by 7 or 7:30 each day in order to reserve chairs in the area we wanted. They will remove your things if you are gone over an hour. While we loved our stay, I was disappointed in a few things. Strong scents can trigger migraines for me and the main lobby had a strong scent meaning we couldn’t enjoy that main bar. The toilet paper in our room was also scented which gave me a reaction. We also were given a hard timeshare sale at the beginning. Especially after our long travel day, it was a really bad way to start our trip. Despite the few cons, I highly recommend a stay here. We stayed at another resort after visiting Secrets in order to meet some friends, and it became very clear that Secrets is top notch. Compared to other all inclusives we’ve visited, including a nearby one that was twice the price, Secrets is a step above.

  A little piece of heaven

  We love everything about this resort. It is beautiful, the food is excellent & so much selection. It is clean and well maintained. White soft sand that you can walk for miles. They have amazing staff that work hard & aim to please. We have zero complaints. This was our second visit and plan many more.

  Wonderful resort. Service was top notch.

  My husband and I enjoyed a week at Secrets Maroma with two other couples. Four of us were celebrating our 60th birthday. We were disappointed in the beach as there was so much seaweed we couldn’t enjoy swimming in the ocean. The resort workers worked hard to remove it but that left us having to watch and listen to the tractors removing it. We were also surprised at how early we had to “reserve” a chair (even in preferred) if we wanted a spot on the beach or the pool. Seems as though the resort could do a better job at managing this! When we asked for help they weren’t able to do much. The service at the resort was great. The standout server at the resort was Freddy in the World Cafe. He is awesome! Our friends also really liked their concierge in bldg 24 (Roberto). Roger in bldg 25 also did well for us. Not sure if we will return but we had a nice stay.

  Paradise!

  This place is paradise! We felt so pampered and will definitely return. We didn’t have to wait more than 10 minutes to get a seat at the different restaurants. The drinks were amazing and the food. The sand is white and soft and the ocean is turquoise!
