  A 3 stars hotel at best

  Day 3 of a 7 days vacation and it feels like my opinion of this resort is done. Let's be clear, IT IS NOT A 5 STARS RESORT. I was expecting so much more and I'm kinda disappointed. #1 concern: THE FOOD I'm not a picky eater or a self proclaimed foodie. The food in the resort is... subpar to say the least. The buffet is very dark and small. Not a lot of choices. The orange juice tastes like orange powder. I'm not a very big fan of buffets anyway so I hoped that the à la carte restaurants would make up for it but definitely not. We tried the Mexican grill and I wasn't impressed by the steak or the chicken tacos. The nachos were hard as rock. We just finished at the Italian restaurant and we're also very disappointed. The carbonara pizza was overcooked and dried and the carpaccio bland. We'll try other restaurants during the week but I'm not very hopeful. Then there is the beach. I get it, the resort can't do anything about the rocks (maybe choose another location but that's a bit too late) or the weeds but cleaning the beach multiple times a day should be obvious for a 5 STARS resort. It's so bad today that there is 4 feet of seaweed to get into the water! Add to that no towel station anywhere. Limited pools (most of them are the ones in front of swim up suites) and worn rooms (rust on the floor, strong smell of humidity/mold). I wouldn't mind that level of service in a 3 stars hotel but clearly for that price range, it's not worth it. They are way better hotels in the area.

  An 8 exceptional visits

  For the 8th time, we return to Platinum. It feels like home. The welcome we receive is wordless! Stickers and smiles prove that the staff are happy to see us again. A big THANK YOU At the buffet; to LIZETH(place)BRYANet AMANDO(server)and NEYZER( cook omelette) and ABBY for your welcome in the morning and your little touches. Grilled: MIGUEL and ERIK two excellent servers. Bar: everyone who served us a drink but more specifically HERIBERTO the one at the lobby bar. Thank you for the welcome to FLAVIO and CHRISTIAN, tjs smiling and a hello every time we pass them. For the beach: cooking it , it is exceptional.... Despite the warmth and warmth of the kitchen, he works with a smile and makes sure the meal is excellent. Thanks also to those who maintain the pools, they work hard! Yes the beach is rocky but always possible to go swimming at the princess just next door. In our passage a little seaweed during our stay, but I was able to access the beach and swim without problem. The site is tjs clean, be it toilets , restaurants and traffic airs, nothing to say. For the bedroom, 4014 this year qq repairs would be done for the cabinet door, faucet and luminaire. In 8 x this is the first time our room had little hick to do! For us the food is excellent.... A good variety and even novelty at the buffet with their sweet donut! The staff speak bcp more at least try to speak in French. WoW! Bravo! Much more Quebecers this year. In 8 x, it is the year that has the most. For us, our couple and relaxation trip was wonderful with the week of heat without any rain. A SPECIAL MENTION to ISRAEL! How to say ISRAEL, he knows how to make us spend a wonderful journey with his little attentions, his exemplary services. Sad to leave the resort but without to return better either in October or March next year...... Thank you to the whole PLATINUM team❤️❤️

  A catastrophe, a total lack of professionalism

  This hotel is a disaster. Run away as soon as possible! The rooms are dirty and urgently deserve serious updating. Air conditioning does not work every other day. The elevators are not operational. Room service sucks. The front desk staff is anything but friendly. We feel like we’re annoying them... The worst thing is that we look at you with condescension when the lack of professionalism is glaring. As for the food served in restaurants it is very average. Really a resort to discourage. And we are not the only ones who complained during our stay. We really regret our choice.

  Destination Wedding

  This was our second time at this resort. We were there 10 years ago when it was first opened and we are still in love with the place. From the staff, the rooms, the food, beach and pools, it never disappoints! That is why we chose this resort for our destination wedding with our 15 guests. Miguel Cervantes was our wedding coordinator and he made our day perfect! We wanted a simple wedding with just a few details and he took care of everything worry free. Thank you again Miguel!

  Good my holiday

  The disco is very good!! The bar. Super attentive and the DJ Morales started to play good music that I fart behaved well with my colleagues and my friends had a good time all night I thank the DJ that had fun that night
