Dec 20, 2024Punta Cana Vacation to Rui Palace Bavaro
We always enjoy the Riu resorts (have stayed at Bambu and Palace Punta Cana) and my wife decided to try Palace Bavaro this time due to the renovations they just completed. The resort is in excellent shape and the place is fabulous. The room was all redone and in perfect shape. We tried all the restuarants at night and each one was excellent. We are already looking at another week very soon. A few things that were a little not to our liking is the buffet lunch time at 1pm seemed a little late. We didn't go hungry we just had to plan for a later lunch is all. The theatre at night was excellent but we did have our balcony close to it so had a little noisy time after we got back to our room at 10pm. But not too bad. we did see at one of the pools where the staff gave guests glass drinks while they were in the pool. Nothing was dropped or broken but with kids swimming in that pool it seemed like they should have used plastic for drinks when in the pool.

I can’t begin to describe how incredible my stay at the Riu Palace Bavaro was! This over-qualified gem of a hotel exceeded all my expectations and made my first Caribbean vacation truly unforgettable. From the moment I arrived, everything was flawless—seamless transfers, breathtaking ambiance, and the warmest hospitality I’ve ever encountered. The sunny, brilliant days felt like paradise, and I can't even express how well I slept in their luxurious rooms. The food? Absolutely divine! The variety and quality were outstanding. Every meal was a celebration of flavors, and the entertainment options were endless and perfectly curated to keep everyone smiling. Whether it was lounging by the pristine pools, soaking up the vibrant Caribbean vibe, or just enjoying the serene beauty of the resort, everything about Riu Palace Bavaro screamed perfection. If you're looking for a vacation filled with unforgettable memories, Riu Palace Bavaro is the place to be. I can’t wait to return!

A wonderful remodeled resort
we loved our room, the pools, the beach ! The food court Let's Wok, in our opinion had the best food of the entire resort. There could be more than 1 station, as there was always a line to get it. 2nd best was the chicken strips from RFC. We been to several other Riu's, and this one prob had the most "under whelming" dinner buffet, and Italian ala carte's compared to others. Other Riu's offered a fillet/ with butter noodles at the Italian rest/ and that was to die for. The only other complaint we had was all the open cigarette smoking everywhere. we are used to Mexico where that is not allowed.

Beautiful Property
We had a fantastic time at this hotel. There were plenty of food choices/restaurants.We found the food to be very good at all of the restaurants that we tried. The entertainment at night was so much fun. There was a pool for every type of traveler..from those who like peace and quiet to those that enjoy loud music and games. The beach and pool areas were kept clean and had plenty of loungers. We thoroughly enjoyed this hotel and all that it had to offer.
