Great place great potential definitely going back
This is a good small resort. There is a lot of potential in the future. We’re missing a few things to make it a perfect five star all in all. I was very happy with my choice and going here and I will definitely go back. The entertainment. Staff is amazing. The food is OK. The rooms do need a little bit of an upgrade, but the beach is amazing.

Great entertainment!
The best part was the entertainment. We loved all night events. The treatment was great. Thanks to Carlos (Daddy Cool) for the hospitality. Bring cash since taxies are expensive by te way. The food in the resort was good too, specially the Mexican restaurant !

Good and bad
Good and bad! The beach is great - long enough for good walks in both directions with soft sand. There are lots of lounge chairs on the beach with enough palm trees that you can find shade - there are no palapas or umbrellas though. The pool was cold, as many others have noted. In the summer months it would be wonderfully refreshing, but at this time of year, it was a bit chilly. Our room was basic but we had an ocean view, and it was OK. The water in the shower took quite a long time to heat up, but eventually it got there. The beds were comfortable. The food in the buffet was just OK - it was pretty repetitious and nothing was hot unless you got it straight off the grill. We could get a custom-made omelette each morning, but there was almost never any bacon. There was always fresh fruit in the buffet, but never bananas, which we found odd. The coffee in the buffet was very bad, but you could get much better coffee at the lobby bar. The beach BBQ served up undercooked pizza/bread and cool-temperature hamburgers and hot dogs in stale buns. Luckily the food in the a la cartes was quite good. Drinks were fine but they had no dark rum anywhere (amber is as dark as they had), and there was no scotch available unless you were in the Viva club. Thank goodness they use reusable plastic cups now instead of the flimsy single-use cups that litter some beaches. The bicycles are laughable - the first time we went to get them, we had to try about six to find two that worked. The second time we couldn't go at all - three bikes had a tire completely off, another had a chain off, and many of them were just too small. The staff member at the desk said that she hadn't heard any complaints before about them, which is hard to believe because the speaker at the orientation talk warned us that the bikes were ridiculous. The singer who entertains in the evening was good but there was no variety - he was it every time. The evening entertainment was usually pretty amateurish - the circus show was good, but not much else. We only did one excursion, the city tour, which was very overpriced for what it was; we should have just taken a taxi into Freeport. The gym was fine, and the tennis and pickleball courts are in good condition. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful; don't miss the Doctor of Love! Aaaoooo! We were told the resort was fairly full, but it did not seem crowded, which was nice. Considering how inexpensive this place is, we were reasonably satisfied. We came for sun and the beach, and we got those two things.

A wonderful vacation!
We had a beautiful week in the sun. The beach was wonderful and safe, you could walk for hours. The snorkeling right at the resort was amazing. We saw a sting ray and many other varieties of fish. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the entertainment staff were fun. Shout out to Carlos and Ana (?) in water sports from Dominican who kept things fun. The food was good at the buffet, always something to choose from. The 3 a la carts were delicious. As for the room, the bed was comfy and the ease of being able to access everything was great. For the price you can’t go wrong, don’t be concerned about negative reviews and enjoy your vacation.

Loved this place!
We booked this resort to try a different island and now it’s one of our favourites. The place just has a calming relaxing feel about it. The check in leaves something to be desired but that’s not even a huge issue. We went and explored the resort, ate and had drinks while waiting. We had an ocean front room and the beach was huge with lots of chairs. We didn’t spend any time at the pool except for the conch salad presentation and to watch some of the foam party. Sunrises are breathtaking. The resort had a lot of seating areas. The food was great too, definitely a step up from some of the other islands we have been too. We enjoyed all of the a la carts restaurants, especially the Mexican one. Also one of the cleanest resorts we have been too. Public bathrooms were well maintained and not like a lot of other islands. You can walk a long way on the both sides of the resort. We ate at Banana Bay and the Sandbar! Both had good food but Sandbar was unique and the service was outstanding. Definitely try both if you want a break from the resort buffet. Lots of fish for snorkeling right on beach. Water shoes help. The sand is so powdery but some rocks and pieces of coral in areas. The water is so clear. Bar tenders were fabulous especially Camille and Frederick. Every evening (except one night) one of the staff sang at supper time until the evening entertainment started. We definitely missed him on what I expect was his day off. It’s not a fancy resort like some we have stayed at but overall this one wins hands down. Definitely won’t be our last trip to the Bahamas or to this resort!
