We had the BEST trip ever at Dreams sapphire this past November ! We absolutely loved the resort especially the staff. We got to stay in a preferred indigo villa and Iván Ramírez our butler was incredible! He went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we wanted and more! Now for the resort itself everything was fantastic. The food, the entertainment , the pools , the drinks, the service . I cannot say enough good things. We went with our 6 and 8 year old and they absolutely loved the water slides and the kids club! There was also a games room with video games , ping pong and fooseball. Perfect for teens !! Fyi this was our 4th time in Mexico this year and we usually stay at 4.5 or 5 star resorts so that's what we compared this to. Most definitely 5 star !

Amazing family trip!
We were married in Cancun and wanted to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary in Mexico. Our 6 year old came with us, this was her 4th all-inclusive Mexico resort, 3rd Dreams. Our family of three all were in agreement it was our favorite family resort. The set up by lobby was prefect set up to have you kid too. Our trip was amazing but the Explorer's club is a true gem! Eli, Yadi, Pame and Meli were all great and went above and beyond. Our 6 year old loved it there so much! They had great variety of activities and I love that they took them to the pool and even went to get hot cocoa for their PJ/ movie night. They were so amazing and great to work with. Nightly entertainment was amazing, only one we could have done without was the "magic" show, which was more just card tricks. Other than that the entertainment team and nightly entertainment was amazing. Also tied it in for the kids some how too. We usually do not upgrade to prefer as hasn’t seemed worth extra cost for us. After reading reviews and we ended up upgrading this trip and so glad we did. The preferred bar was amazing and having Bluewater for breakfast option too was night. Check in/ check out for preferred was seamless and easy. Karina at the preferred bar was excellent and always took great care of us. Cristell, Jaime and Carlos at Barracuda beach bar were excellent. We would drop off our daughter at the kid's club and then go hang out at Barracuda bar, these three always took care of us and great conversation! I don't remember his name but the bartender at the adults pool was great! Love how the adult bar is like it's own oasis. Also wish I remembered the gentlemen's names at swim bar, they were always so busy but were so efficient and also had a smile on their face. All the cleaning staff were amazing, always organized our 6 years old's stuff animals on her bed, which she loved! We celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary at Himitsu. Alfredo at Himitsu made our anniversary extra, extra special with a dessert and sung us an absolutely beautiful song! Also honorable mention: Gumer at Bluewater and Jonathan at Portafino were both great making our dining experience extra special, especially for our daughter. The Hyatt inclusive app was very convenient to see restaurant menu's and explorer club activities. I will say only complaint we had was the mattress was not very good but they were definitely not the worst we have had. Ultimately for the price you really can’t beat this place. We will definitely be back!

Excellent first time experience at Dreams Sapphire
We are just back from 9 days at Dreams Sapphire, we really enjoyed this resort! The quality of their restaurants and their staff set Sapphire clearly apart from some of the larger hotel chains we have experienced in Mayan Riviera. We had a garden view room, building 4 which is close to the adult pool and right near the beach (and beside beach bar) also a short walk to the main pool area. (It is also directly across from adult pool, so can be a little loud until 11 pm due to weddings). This is an older hotel however they work hard to maintain it. I suggest going with preferred club if you can swing it, you get access to preferred Club lounge, with upscale drinks, private check in as well as access to Blue Water grill for breakfast, which we took advantage of nearly every day. This is not a huge resort, however, large enough for a good variety of activities and restaurants without having to walk miles. The beach is excellent, very few rocks and cleaned daily by tractor. Our Granddaughter really like the kids club, ( 4 years old) and was staying there For short periods, on her own, after a few days of getting to know other kids and staff, which were excellent with the children. Our favorite restaurant was Bluewater grill, top marks to the staff there! Eloy, Julio, Archie, Victor, Gumer were amazing as well as Dayli who ensures everything is running smoothly. The chef Manuel even made us a special farewell lunch with a lovely dessert on our last day! 'Bordeau' their French restaurant was very good, as was 'Porofino' the Italian restaurant. Johnathan our server at Portofino was the best I have ever seen in Mexico, as well his manager ensured all went well and made sure you were well taken care of. The sports bar was well set up and we were able to get most channels , perhaps a few more chairs would be helpful, also opening bar for Sunday 1:00 pm for NFL games would be great, otherwise they open at 3:00pm.( they turned on TV's for us, no air or bar until 3:00 p.m. but we survived!) Carlos is really great bartender as are all the other bartenders/servers at pool and beach. The sports bar turn into a Disco after 10 pm which gets rocking after the evening show. Mar, Orchidia, and their team of animators were great at getting people involved in activities and they all excel at their jobs. We enjoyed the shows that we attended also - good quality entertainment, including the Mexican show and the nightly musical entertainment in the lobby were all very good. New Indigo section is gorgeous with a roof top infinity pool, I was given a no pressure tour to this section, they also have private villas with their own pool, all hotels room are ocean front! We were offered a late check out which was very helpful as our return was 6:00 p.m. Congrats to the management team at this place! We will be back next year! Dan and Linda Ottawa Canada

Great resort … lobby and resort a bit older but the rooms were very nice, big and clean. The staff is what makes this resort so nice. Every one we encountered were friendly and genuine. Would recommend. If you had kids there are slides and the kids club looked amazing with a ton of activities and crafts. They really entertained the kiddos. Oh and beach is beautiful.

Staff is great
The hotel itself is ok. The staff is very nice. Specifically Jonathan, the maîtreD at the Bordeaux French restaurant. He was very attentive to our special diatairy needs and was a pleasure to talk with. Jorge from the spa gave a great chair massage and convinced us to go to the spa twice during our stay, we did not regret it! It's the people that made this a 4 star stay.
